Mikkel

Mikkel is an open book for plots and shenanigans. If you have an idea that you would like to do, please, feel free to throw it at me. Currently I am looking for:

Honorable: While honor isn't typically high on the want list from a mercenary, it doesn't change the fact that Mikkel is exactly that. He will correct anyone who says otherwise by saying he is not an assassin. An assassin will kill their target by stabbing them in the back or slitting their throat. Mikkel prefers to take the more obvious approach - which is good considering he is about as stealthy as a bull in a china shop. Mikkel prefers to announce his presence to the target and his intentions. He will never strike an opponent from behind. He believes this is a coward's way of fighting and there is no honor in eliminating a target who never had a fighting chance. However if he is attacked from behind and is dishonored, gloves will come off. He is honorable - he is not stupid and does not have a death wish. Honor means nothing with a sword through your throat.

Organized...To a point: Mikkel knows where the important things are. Namely, he knows where his money is at all times. Perhaps the virtue should instead be called fiscally responsible and monetarily organized. If it is not shiny he likely has no idea where it's place is. His hoard, on the other hand...is organized by shade of metal, shape, size, color, clarity, value and he actually has a pretty sophisticated filing system for receipts and log books for jobs. In his head. Ask him to find a pair of shoes? No idea. They're probably under a dirty pair of undergarments.

Serene: It can take a lot to bring Mikkel down. He has a very solid grasp on what makes him happy and how to manage things that don't. Usually this is sticking a sword in it someplace but a management system nonetheless. His feathers are hard to ruffle. He is content in his station and place and does not aspire to be the best or the wealthiest (okay that would be nice) or even the most popular. All he wants is to make his living and survive another day. He is calm, collected, and ultimately a good presence.

Absent Minded: Mikkel is WONDERFUL at starting projects, jobs, relationships...and is...terrible at finishing them. It's not that he doesn't want to. It's not even that he's lazy. Mikkel is just...terrible at keeping track of his responsibilities. Usually this has something to do with getting distracted. This happens more frequently than he would admit. As such, he's pretty brilliant at pulling shit out of his ass and bullshitting people into thinking that he had a reason for putting things off to buy time. Which usually...ends in him forgetting about it again. He really should get a secretary before he stops getting business.

Thick Headed: This does not mean he is stubborn (He is, but that's beside the point) - It means he's thick. As a pile of bricks. You cannot hint to this man. If you want something from him, you need to tell him directly in as few short words as possible. If you wax on and ramble and rant about what you want him to do, he will pick out key words and carry those out. They may or may not be the words you wanted him to take notice of. "Fuck You" might be what he gets out of "GET THE FUCK OUT YOU ASSHOLE AND FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED". If you want him to do something, phrase it like you would to a small child or it may just go over his head. It's not that he's dumb - he just doesn't do well with comprehension sometimes.

Inadvertently apathetic & insensitive: He does not mean to lack enthusiasm when you tell him something awesome. He also did not mean to confirm your ass looks fat in that dress. He is not good at expressing concern and when asked a question he will answer it honestly. He is not good at picking up hints or nuances of social etiquette as previously stated in the flaw above. These two kind of go hand in hand. He may really be concerned about something, but that concern won't really come to the surface leaving you wondering if he cares at all. While he's horrible at picking up on these things, he's great at subtly showing people he cares.

Mikkel has the ability to augment opponents' attacks by siphoning energy through something that belonged to them. The stronger the connection of the item to the target the more energy one can take. For example: Blood or something genetic will provide the best channel while an article of clothing will provide a weak link. This can either cut the attack of his opponent or divert the attack elsewhere. In some rare cases, this will completely negate the opponent's attack for up to two turns. The energy that is transferred through this ability is used to supplement and fuel Mikkel's own attack. This is necessary due to his disconnect from the earth when outside of his natural Draconian form. While outside of feral form, Mikkel has no way to tap into or generate his own attack energy.

Mikkel's attack abilities are Earth based and kinetic. Mikkel's attacks travel best through uncut stone or unturned earth but can go through anything that is of the earth's element (Ground is best but can, for example, go through clay or stone walls). These attacks can produce quakes, directional quakes, rock spikes/formations, and/or sink holes.

Shifting Block: Mikkel has lost the ability to shift into his natural form. Because of this, many of the benefits of being a dragon have been lost to him. Mikkel is still technically immortal in terms of he will never die of natural causes but he is infinitely easier to kill. His healing rate is that of a normal human and the lack of full bodied scales, armor, size, and wings severely hinder his survivability. He is very squishy and fitting man-made armor over his natural rock protrusions and formations is fairly difficult. The more a piece of armor must be modified, the more weak points it tends to have.

Water: Water based attacks are going to hit him harder than most other attacks will.

Migraines: A side effect to his disconnect from the Earth. Mikkel gets debilitating migraines which can leave him down for days at a time, avoiding sunlight and loud noises. It's like a perpetual hang over without the fun of being drunk.
