  Mortimer Delyrian.
  
  He likes that name. It's mysterious and dark as himself. Mortimer means dead sea and he likes that. His opposite would be Vita, and that means life. Therefore he is glad he chose the name Mortimer. He wasn't born with it. He was born nameless. He is not of any particular species, and sometimes he wonder if he really is. He is the son of Death. His mother is just a demon who got a little too affectionate, and that part he isn't very proud of, but being the son of Death! That's why he took the name Mortimer.
  
  He doesn't have particular magic, but he has some of the basics for both demons and Death. He can lure you into temptation. Become a little voice in your head that tells you to do stuff. Bad stuff. He can also shapeshift, but because he hasn't trained it very well, he can only become a raven, and he can only hold it for five minutes. You can spot that he's not a real bird by looking at the shadows. Whenever he shapeshift, he casts two shadows. That's what gives him away. When he's in human form, he can't fly, nor does he have horns or a tail. He completely got his dads physical body, which means he's very pale, thin and fragile looking. But be not fooled. He is immortal and cannot be killed.
  
  Just because Mortimer is immortal, doesn't mean he can't get hurt. Because he can. You can't tear off his limbs or rip out his cut or anything, but you can make him bleed. A lot. Now, you can't do that to the Grim Reaper, but because he is half demon, you can hurt him, even push him to the very brink of death. If you find all his weak spot he can be defeated. You just can't kill him. He's not very skilled in battle at all. As mentioned he looks fragile. He's not exactly fragile, but he's not strong at all. That's not what he was put here to do or fulfill.
  
  Even though Mortimer is son of Death, he has not much to do with the lives of others. He has never been to his dads house, nor have he seen the billions of hourglasses that holds the sands of life belonging to the many creatures who in this life are mortal. He can't reap. That power does not lie within him, and it never will as long as there is another Reaper, which means he never will, because Death is immortal. The only way to kill Death is if Life stops existing, and Life only stops existing if Death does, so you acually can't kill either of them. The only thing he can do is a teleporting illusion, which means that if you are following him, as soon as he is out of sight, he will be way more ahead when you get him in sight again. Also cats and horses seems to like him very well. Other than that he can feel when people are dying.
  
  His personality is not what you'd imagine. He actually has quite a lot of humor and sarcasm. For people who doesn't know him, he might come off as rude or mean, but he's actually joking mostly. Which is an advantage for him, because he can say basically what he wants about people and being intentionally rude, because they just think he's joking, and he finds that pretty funny sometimes. He's a very light character, but also, he never gets emotionally involved. He's seen death up close many times, hell, he basically is death. No one lives forever. You can destroy all living beings one way or another. Even Satan. He think it makes him seem tough, when he tells that he's "aromantic", but actually it's more a defense mechanism rather than him being cool. Everything he knows and loves will die, and he knows it. He's saving himself the trouble of getting hurt. He fell in love with a human once, and she lived a long and beautiful life, but for him it was like it has been two years only. He doesn't feel time as the same way as humans. Time is relative and his dad has all creatures' hourglasses in a little house on The Other Side. Very crazy to know.
  
  Mortimer thoroughly hates optimistic people. Usually he's only sarcastically optimistic. Though you might think it, he's actually not a pessimist either. He's a realist. Especially since he experiences realness up close a lot. He can't "reap", but he can feel every time someone is dying, which caused him getting tics, cause he flinches or blinks every time, and people die pretty often. Whenever a lot of people dies at the same time, he gets a severe headache for a few seconds,and you can compare it to someone smashing your scull with a rock. He doesn't believe in luck or coincidences. He knows everything happens for a reason. You we're not lucky, when you dodged that bullet. It was not your time yet. It wouldn't have changed anything, if you went out your door ten minutes earlier. You'd still die that day, because your time was up.
  
  Mortimer doesn't have a sexuality. Or well he probably does, but he just doesn't identify with one. He's not human so he doesn't bother with such labels. Since there is so many creatures in the underworld, you can't limit it like that at all. Today he could fall in love with a human, tomorrow he could fall in love with a demon, a hybrid or something whole other. In his world gender and sex doesn't mean anything at all. He uses male pronouns and he has what you would call masculine genitals. Nevertheless he doesn't identify as "boy" or "man", cause that is simply not what he is. He's a creature.

    Today I finally purchased some paper, so I decided to write down my thoughts.
    I went to the human world to purchase what they call "papyrus". It's quite nice actually, I like it.
    I guess you can guess I got it from Acient Egypt. It's quite beautiful actually, and I visited the tombs of some of the Faraos I went with dad to bring to their other side, when I was about 1000 years old. It feels like such a long time ago. I hated the sun though. It irritates my skin, so I wore that giant black robe dad wore when he was my age. He still wears one, just not that one.
    
    I'll write more later, but I have to do something right now.
