Marquis of Antolia, Head of House Nausse, Lord of Ankara, Mergen of the Council.
To the public, a strong figure and something of a bulwark. He is seen as quiet due to his own thoughts, keen, practical, and able to rise in a flurry of words and action where and when needed. Not one to go overboard, nor to be moved. Some view the Marquis as being a bit more like an irritable but capable lion, not to be crossed and at times overly threatening on some matters. Even so, most pass this off while regarding it as either necessary or insignificant in the greater scheme of things. Letraul has served as Marquis since first taking on the throne at the age of sixteen, following a transitionary period of just over two years - this having been due to his father, Lord Itruel's, passing in battle along Antolia's northern border.

At the time, the treaty with Laoris dictated that no heir of the House take on the throne before the age of sixteen. Being a few months away from his fourteenth birthday on the occasion and with his elder brother recently taken by disease, though in an unusually quick and aggressive manner; negotiations saw Laoris take the opportunity to write into law the policy of Transitional Regents. Being that in the case no heir of the House is of age, then for the last two full years prior to this - or whatever time within that is applicable - a representative of Laoris with limited powers and a greater interdependency on the Council will come into office. Their term will end on the day that an heir is of age and able to take on the title of Marquis; or in the event no heir exists then every two years Laoris will propose a replacement with no individual serving more than three terms, and the Council will determine the selection by vote.

A bitter rub that at the time, nothing could be done for - political and certainly economic concerns saw the Council and the House severely limited in what they could do to counter this proposal. Even so, the interim period went on without too many blemishes, though the Council had worked hard to put a stop to certain unfavorable policies presented and pushed for by the interim regent. After the two year period had passed and surrounding a somewhat chaotic lead up to the day, Letraul took on the throne and has since ruled for 24 years.

He has two children nearly coming of age, that being moved up to eighteen over the past couple decades. The first being more academically inclined and of an observant disposition, and the younger being quite more adventurous yet distractible. Their mother passed some years ago in deep illness, and while Letraul has since remarried twice; these saw no further children born, nor did the bonds endure. His second wife, Aylara, was kind to his children but a bit too naïve, going behind Letraul’s back for her own family's political purposes and thinking she was smart enough to hide it. She wasn’t. This relationship lasted nearly three years, until her actions had created enough turmoil and difficulties that Letraul was practically forced to remove her by way of secretly exaggerating her offenses. Granted a relatively more comfortable home for a prison, she remains well-treated if also kept far away from higher politics - this and the annulment of their marriage made far easier by having the woman declared unfit and mad, or 'touched by the gods', as it were. As for the third wife, Celeyne was something of a fiery and exciting spirit whom Letraul wed about a year after Aylara's forced move. The pair started off quite happy and carried a sort of energy, a spark and liveliness that hadn't been seen in the Marquis for some time. Be this as it may, after a bit over a year the relationship began to deteriorate as once again, Letraul learned of an even more unabashed pushing and playing at things that he would have preferred her not to have. While at first attempting patience, Celeyne did push the Marquis too far and in particular was not the nicest to the children of his first wife. They were together for just under two years, before a bitterness and this time far more evident and egregious crimes saw the relationship broken. Celeyne was imprisoned, Letraul had some weeding out to do, and in time she was never heard from again. He put an end to enduring romantic desires following this, and instead has shifted his focus more fully to other matters as well as his sons in the past few years.

Relations with Laoris have calmed considerably, and an alliance with Peyth continues to see ample trade and slowly but steadily increasing representative power on the regional stage. The northern raiding parties have slowed significantly in recent years, and all but the far-eastern nation of Dolor seem ready to abide by peace... though even this is unlikely a conflict that could spark any beginnings of a flame for the relatively distant Antolia. Internally miniature droughts still plague the lands every few years, but proper storage and an increasing repertoire in the arcane are seeing such impacts lessened in each passing event. Furthermore, the newfound tranquility has also seen a budding increase of accomplished foreign scholars, only aiding other boons the nation has slowly been gathering.

Bothian raiders and warlords remain a threat just as ever, crime will exist to the end of days, and political dramas and pressures unfold at a regular if slightly upswept pace. There are whisperings of certain deep magics, and these skirt about then fade or are scared off somewhat simply. Even so, in these recent days the Marquis can't help but feel it is all too good to remain so stable for long. The world shudders as it turns, sure as the sun will rise.

• 11 years ago, the Lady of House Nausse, Narine Esynia, passed of a deep illness. The Marquis remarried and divorced twice within the next seven years.
• 24 years ago, Letraul Demilcol Nausse officially took on the throne of Marquis of Antolia, ending the period of transitional rule by Laoris.
• 27 years ago, Itruel Kulmir Nausse was killed in battle near Antolia's northern border. A transitionary regent of Laoris held the territory for three years.
• 40 years ago, a treaty was signed between Laoris and Antolia by Lord Itruel, Letraul's father.
