  A mysterious psychic creature who appears to people as something they may be predisposed to love and take care of, who will demand their love and affection.
  
  Name: Unknown. She will not state a name, but will accept any name given. She's grown quite fond of "Cuckoo"
  
  Species: Unknown. It's small, gelatinous and sort of adorable.
  
  Gender: She appears to consistently appear as a female.
  
  Age: Unknown: She gets the feeling she's pretty new to the world. She often appears as a young girl.
  
  Usual Wardrobe: She likes wearing what a small girly girl would like to wear: frilly dresses with lots of bows.
  
  Behavior/Personality: The Waif is like a hyperactive child, curious, precocious, and very ecclectic in her likes and dislikes. She doesn't seem to quite fit into the norm in whatever she is doing, and this doesn't particularly bother her.
  
  Quirks: She enjoys being creative with language. Even when she learns the "correct" word for something, she enjoys her own neologisms.
  
  Skills: Squealing, humming, picking her nose, doing an impression of a train.
  
  Job: Occassionally she goes out to children involved in war, in hospital, or otherwise traumatised, and grants them happy dreams. But mostly, she just gets distracted.
  
  Abilities: Technically, the Waif is incredibly powerful. In order for people to see her, she has to enter their minds and alter them. She can cause hallucinations, delusions, and possibly even cause internal chaos that would kill a person. She's can also cause inner peace, happy dreams and prevent pain. However, she's not ambitious at all with her powers and left to her own devices will just use them to do things like making people think she's a shrub for a day to see what it feels like.
  
  Weaknesses: She is easily upset, and very prone to suggestion.
