  ▹ PLOTLINES- I like tension and conflict. Personal and political plotlines would, at this time be my primary focus for him. Particularly interested in something pertaining to how François establishes himself on the island. He, currently, cannot afford the exorbitant expenses which come as a result of his lifestyle, on his manorial dues alone. I'm toying with a few ideas-- maritime trade (the slave or produce trade) being the primary one, as he may fear for his title, derogating otherwise. Else, he may default to land ownership. I'm leaving this completely open for discussion
  
  ▹ PAID INFORMANTS- Particularly corresponding to existing plotlines. Something to add a little flavour, and allow the Marquis a little additional leverage over certain individuals. If nothing specific, to have an eye on the playing field at large should any opportunities arise.
  
  ▹ BLOOD- He needs a food source, after all. He may have manipulated a certain character, financially, emotionally, or otherwise into providing much-needed sustenance. I'd prefer if this did not become the focus of every rp, however! Please know that François will absolutely not drink from a slave.

Intrigued by her unusual self-made standing and success, and motivated by his financial debt, Monsier le Marquis has sought her support on the island. Strictly speaking, their relationship stands on noblesse oblige, and certain debts owed to the Marquis.
