  Raul has been rather lucky when it comes to his looks. He has a nicely tan skin that tans even darker in the sun. His face is fairly handsome, with a good strong jawline and thick, plush lips. He almost always have either scruffy beard or some facial hair, but never smooth shaved or full on beard. It's usually more trimmed during competition than normally. Rest of his body? He waxes regularly.
  
  He has a slender figure with long lean muscles. He has impressive core strength, and while his muscles are well defined, they are not beefy and bulging.

  Struggles:
  Raul has struggled with self-confidence, body image, large crowds and more since he was around 14 or 15 years old. Harming himself became his main coping mechanism. Ice skating was his only other escape, and he fell in love with competing. However, training and preparing for competitions was difficult and stressful. Raul broke under the pressure. At the age of 20 he attempted suicide. Raul was forced to take a season off from competing to recover after being committed to a psychiatric facility. He spent a year working through his issues and keeping both his body and skills in shape for skating. Raul resurfaced on the skating scene in Spain during national competing.   On ice, Raul gives the impression of being a cocky, overconfident showman that clearly loves what he is doing. Off the ice, and with the media, his persona is much the same. Raul has been known to flirt with the camera and the crew. Far more reserved in private, he is quiet and tends to keep to himself. Raul’s constant struggle with depression is the cause, though it also pushes him to pour every bit of himself into his training and his career.
  
  When people have the chance to get to know him, Raul is as sweet as a cinnamon bun. He is charming in his own way, nice, and all around polite and friendly. Surprisingly tactile, he gives hugs and kisses cheeks for both greetings and goodbyes. When he speaks, Raul is loud and energetic, especially around people his is comfortable with and trusts. He tends to forget that there are people around him that will support him, be there for him. Because of this, it is very difficult to earn a place within his circle of trust.
