'Rockers In Space' is a B-list film starring the band Space Ogres. Brash and Nightowl play the role of fighter pilots, transported into the future. In the movie, the band rose to prominence in the future after scientists deciphered part of a smashed DVD of one of their music videos. The band posed as fighter pilots, which led the future generation to believe the musicians were the preeminent space fighter pilots of their time.
The movie was more about special effects than plot. It was a comedy, although the humor was dry and sometimes fell flat. The film turned a profit at the box office but is still considered more of a cult classic than a hit.
The band members have access to either fighter as guests of the same squadron. The ships have different attributes and are better at different types of missions. The DCF is a fast, powerful beast. The IXSF is a maneuverable, stealthy arrow. Brash and Nightowl have their own preferences and usually stick to their favorites. The other band members fill in as systems operators or fly secondary craft.
