Seryin Runecast

Appearance
On the smaller side, Seryin Runecast has pale gold fur with black and white markings across her face and back. She has pale green eyes, and around those eyes, there are small spine-like growths. Her mane is pulled into a number of thick dreads, tied under a leather wrap.
Her horns sweep back, forming a curious half-moon shape, which she has wrapped with leather strapping, more for cosmetic reasons than anything else.
She has two nearly unnoticeable scars. The first was earned when she was in the Farahr. Some of the other cubs decided it’d be fun to gang up on the smaller female, and were surprised when she actually fought back. The scar earned was a nick in her left ear. The second was a bit more serious, and happened during a skirmish with a Flame Legion soldier. This scar runs from her right cheek, across her muzzle to end near her nose.
Armor wise, she tends to dress in dark, blues and golds. The armor she wears is a long alchemists' coat, in which she carries all sorts of knick backs and do-dads.
Her favored weapon is her trusty rifle, designed and built with her own two paws. She always carries a few grenades and her flame thrower, hooked to her pack.
Behavior
Iron Legion through and through, Seryin is an inventor. She is clever, and has a quick tongue. She is quite the extrovert.
That being said, she is a scholar, not a fighter (though, she will fight for those she cares about, so don’t underestimate her at all). She has plans to join the Priory and travel as a historian in their ranks.
Like her mother, she has a hand in mystics, with the ability to cast and read the runes that most other Charr seem to forget exist. She tends to call people - even strangers - "Love". Her voice has a Scottish lit to it, which seems to fall into an almost cockney street cant when she's spitting mad.
Where Seryin got the magic from her mother’s side of the family, she got her father’s stubbornness and pride. What she got most of all, however, was his unwillingness to back down from a challenge. These things, she is almost ashamed of, as she is ashamed that her father would turn from his warband and Legion.
Traits
~Fiercely loyal, willing to do anything for her friends, even at the cost of her life.
~Willing to listen to anyone, Seryin will ALWAYS make time to talk.
Flaws
~When something goes wrong, she blames herself, even if it's not her doing.
~Seryin has the tendency to run into things without thinking about the consequences.
History/Timeline
Born to Zesha Silverpad and Talos Wintersbane, Seryin comes from a family of Iron Legion origin. She - unlike many young charr - was not given a choice on her alliance. But to be fair, Seryin wouldn't have it any other way. She strives to be just as great as those before her.
Seryin is a member of the Lost Warband, though her name has never reflected that. This is a warband made up of outcasts of each of the Legions: younglings who couldn't find a place in their legion, older soldiers who lost theirs. The list goes on.
Her father is a traitor, and Seryin has no love for the male that is her sire. She has come to the decision that should she meet him again, she’ll have no qualms with letting him die. Zesha, being a member of the Vigil, was called to action when Scarlet attacked Lion’s Arch, and was killed in action.
Seryin traveled there to try and find any of her mother’s remains and came back empty-pawed.
Upon returning to the Citadel, she was approached by a member of the Inventor's Guild, a group of Charr from all Legions, come together to push a progressive movement. She excelled and was later approached by the Priory for a rare opportunity to research the forgotten Charr gods.
Through these two groups, she has picked up the job of working as a diplomat between the other races and Charr (she prefers working with the asura, though enjoys visiting human cities). She is a master at disguises, due to some Ash Legion training she had, though her home legion is Iron.
Relationships
Being the extrovert she is, Seryin is quite skilled at getting others to talk to her. She has many acquaintances, many of whom owe her for past deeds or odd jobs. She is willing to help out almost anyone, for a small price, be it knowledge, goods, a bed to sleep on, or passage to somewhere.
~Zesha Silverpad/Charr Ranger/Female/Mother/Dead – Seryin and Zesha, even after leaving the Farahr, were quite close. After Seryin’s father left, Zesha was the one to teach her daughter all number of things, most effectively, how to survive. With her death during the attack on Lion’s Arch, Seryin has had a rough time. “Zesha was my strongest supporter. She knew my secret, my ability to read the runes, and she taught me everything I know. Though her death is a sad event, I must not let it distract me from helping Tyria in any way possible.”
~Talos Wintersbane/Charr Warrior/Male/Father/Alive – Talos was banished from his warband when Seryin was young. He never wanted a kid, and so he took every chance to stay away from her. Now that Seryin was made Legionnaire, he’s come back, to see if she will help him regain what he has lost. Seryin is bitter towards him for many reasons, and wants nothing more than to see him dead. “They say he is my father, but would a father leave his child to die? I share nothing but blood with this Charr. He is nothing to me.”
~Rybane Zephyr/Human Ranger/Male/Acquaintance - Seryin happened upon Rybane on accident. She was scouting out The Crow's Nest, in old Lion's Arch, and happened upon a completely drunk, rambling human. She helped him to a place to rest for the night, and told him they'd meet again in the future.
"He's an acquaintance, a good one to have, considering he is a Whisper's agent. As to whether he's a good one, that remains to be seen."

Hobbies/Talents
The first of her talents is almost the most important to understand Seryin fully. She has the unusual ability to cast and read the old Charr runes. This ability is one that she keeps a secret, because many Charr frown upon the old ways.
This ability allows her to use runic divination to see what the future holds. It is not always clear, nor is the reading accurate. She sometimes uses this on her travels, to earn a bit of extra money by reading the runes for those that are curious.
She is skilled in disguise work, which she learned from the Strike Warband, of the Ash Legion.
A quick learner, Seryin picks up new skills and traits quickly and easily, making her a jack of all trades. She finds that what she lacks in physical attributes, she makes up for with a strong grasp of mental skills.
