  Subtle ripples of muscle played beneath a smooth coat of black and grey, a mask of tawny creating contrast round his lavender eyes. Powerful limbs carried paws the like of saucers, large even for a male of his size, though he lacked none of the natural feline grace. Elegant of posture, his words reflected on the careful evaluation and philosophical preparation required for inventing a better tomorrow. Well-mannered words of enthusiastic empowerment hardly escaped him, but in order to hold on to future freedom, he was well aware that examples must be shown. Sacrifice and violence were two realities that he knew all too well, a strong soul left alone in his resolve to recover after atrocities bestowed. Rather oxymoronically, he exuded apathy, lacking the ability - or perhaps the emotional commitment - to feel overly sympathetic toward others' plights or woes.
  
  Despite stunted empathy, he possessed a heart big as his mahogany mane for his family, devoted to his pride and harboring a secret adoration for the innocent intelligence demonstrated by children. Strangers were a risk he accepted and willed Fate to punish him for. A strange breed of man for certain, his methods of conversation were not always the most conventional or accepted, but he enjoyed lounging in the presence of good company as much as the next lion.
