  In-depth Personality

  A jaded, grumpy old con artist. Sol's almost always in a foul mood, or at least not willing to put up with people messing him about. He often comes across as snappy and impatient, if he's not trying to con or flatter you for his own gain. Though he's not all bad, it's rare to genuinely get on his good side. He's constantly stressed and in chronic pain due to old injuries. Sol is a habitual liar and only really shows true loyalty to a few people, though he's got a paternal streak in him a mile wide if he does care about you - although if this is the case, expect his paranoid and overprotective fatherly side to come out quickly. He'll not hesitate to reprimand you, call you an idiot or remind you who's in charge; at least if you're not his actual kid. He tends to be very lax and forgiving when it comes to her and dotes on her a ton.
  
  Sol's very into good manners and proper etiquette, so god forbid you swear or make crude remarks around him; the most he'd really do is give you disapproving glances, but even so. Hypocritically, he himself can easily be aggressive and insulting - although he does his best to keep it under wraps, his vicious temper still flares up often. In the past, he used to work himself down to the bone and often to the point of exhaustion; even if that's not really applicable anymore for him, he's stubborn and will dig his heels in if somebody tries to argue with him. He's the kind of guy to insist that he's fine even if he's clearly on the verge of collapse, and will push himself to act like he's okay until he hits a breaking point. That isn't to say that some peace and quiet wouldn't be nice, though. Honestly. He really would like that.
  
  Granted, he's not the easiest man to get along with, but it's possible if you try. Just be respectful, polite and don't talk about certain people, and he might warm to you eventually.

  Injuries and Conditions

  
  Physical Injuries: Broken and poorly-healed left shoulder joint. Seizes up and causes him pain from time-to-time. Aforementioned scars. Has a bad limp in the animal AU, though not the human one.
  
  Physical Conditions:High blood pressure and related heart issues. On medication for that. Also suffers from severe insomnia and possibly chronic fatigue. He's given up trying to fight that one; he often ends up exhausting himself to the point of incoherence and dozing off in odd places, at odd times.
  
  Mental Conditions: Possible depression and untreated moderate PTSD related to living for five years with his emotionally and physically abusive ex-wife.
