In the Andromedan galaxy, the star that came to be known as Vespera became sentient after eons of nothingness. Her consciousness opened slowly at first, starting as an ability to see what was around her. Eventually, she was able to feel things and form basic opinions. It was almost child-like in nature. For hundreds of years, her consciousness grew until finally, something took notice.

Several beings approached her and asked if she would like to reincarnate into something better suited to hold consciousness. She was given several options -- a myriad of star beings, alien, angel, demon, spirit -- but the star settled upon a human form in the end, for the sheer desire for free will. But humans were not equipped to handle the power of a star on their own, so a special vessel was created; one that housed several lifetimes of beings known for handling star power.

Thus, Vespera was born.

She was born into a family that had two children already. Mimi and Jeffrey Durose, with their son (Gabriel) and their daughter (Ariel), loved Vespera from the moment they laid eyes on her. They knew she was special, and they did everything in their power to give her a good life and protect her from the evils of the world. Unfortunately, Vespera couldn't be sheltered from everything, for her peers spent a good amount of time avoiding her, leading to a sense of loneliness growing up. Her brother and sister were much older than her, so even they could only do so much.

Vespera's experiences with her family were filled will enough love and light to keep her happy, and she tried to spread this to other areas of life as well. She found that she had an unending amount of energy and would often become restless and agitated when she had to sit still. Her parents endorsed every extra-curricular activity she wanted to try in her quest to make friends. She enjoyed kickboxing with her brother and dancing with her sister. She picked up scrapbooking from her mother. But her love of space, she always possessed. Her head was always in the clouds, looking up, staring at the stars. Though she couldn't remember why, she knew that she belonged among them.

At 20, Vespera still lives at home with her parents, while her brother and sister have long since moved out. She is still trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life, and her parents are happy to give her time to do so.
