Star would usually be perceived as an introvert. She mostly keeps to herself and enjoys being on her own to read. She might be a fabled seventh daughter of a seventh daughter, but in spite of her gift, she's still a long ways from having any kind of sway in the decisions at the castle.
Her value to her parents is mostly as a well-placed pawn. In a land that is usually cold, her abilities eventually could help with a lot of things, and she's mentioned it so many times, but the king and queen have other ideas.
But she wants to do more, be more than that. Even if she does end up getting stuck in a convenience marriage, she wants to make her life matter. Maybe she won't get to be a great heroine like the other sevenths before her, but she won't disgrace that legacy by not doing anything either.
From a young age, she learned that people will always say things to hurt other people. She's taken hits before. But she also learned that people's satisfaction from hurting others was only complete when the other person showed their hurt. She didn't want to give them that.
Star's problem is that she craves human relationships, she craves affection, conversation, and feeling appreciated. But at the same time, she is terrfied of going all out and being disappointed later. -
