• General Description

  A sighthound once held at the height of hunting glory, tearing down prey from rabbits to wolves with ease, the Borzoi and its canine cousins have all but died off in the EZ1984.52, formerly known as Starytsya, Ukraine. In their place, irradiated creatures, some barely recognizable. Even 20 years of exposure to nuclear explosions has left the landscape barren and its wildlife twisted, mutating into monstrosities only found in the nightmares of children.
  
  The particular hound in question is of no immediate extraordinary appearance. Long, silky fur, the perfect grace and bearing of its Russian ancestors. A hint of Rough Collie, glimpsed through its keen herding abilities and strong work drive, and reflected by the gentle tan and brown of color. If the creature were spotted in a back alley on a dim night, a man could mistake it easily for a street dog. That is, until their eyes met. Unnatural eyes, iridescent white with a hint of pale blue. Like the eyes of a goldfish belly up in its tank. A wispy silver glow emanates from those unsettling eyes, mimicking smoke at times, or fog in the moonlight. A chilled silence follows its gaze, and then it seems to fade into the background, only its eyes remaining until they, too, blink out in the darkness of the night.
