Appearance: He's a raven haired male, with murky blue eyes. His skin is sickly pale and the type of wardrobe he wears is mostly dark and the only bright colored thing he wears is usually white. Outside in the daylight, he can be seen wearing white gloves, and holding a book for most of the time. Usually he's mistaken for being mysophobic, and he lets others think that.
Weapon: A weapon would be his smile, hah, I'm joking, well not entirely. I guess a simple pencil or razor blade can do, he'll improvise.
Special Ability: Compulsion is an ability where his voice can 'brainwash' humans, kind of. This is how he's able to convince people, but he can get exhausted from using it more than 3 minutes, or on more than 1 person.
Feeding on Happiness is actually something he doesn't enjoy to do, but it's the only way to keep him from passing out of hunger and make his ability on using compulsion stronger. He's usually always hungry, but regular food won't help him. To use this ability, all he has to do is touch you while talking to his targets, sometimes it just can be one person who likes him in general. The only way he would be okay with using this ability, is if he's conning someone who did wrong.
Personality: He's actually kind and quite caring, but ever since he learned that he stole feelings of happiness by just touching them for a few seconds, he decided to make himself unlikable. In places where he sees the same people daily, he acts cold and shut. But to people who are seen as destructive or are "targets" he acts cheerful and usually ends up tricking them into doing something.

-Flaws: Stubborn, Urges to make remarks (He's working on trying not to), Lots of people tend to dislike him (apparently he pushes them the wrong way), Doesn't pay attention to what you're talking about if he deems it unimportant, Selective hearing.
Negative voice(s) in head: It's mainly just thing like, "Don't get too close", or "Just be grouchy, and they'll stop talking to you." Maybe even, "Cut the conversation short before you say anything!"

Habits (the good, the bad, and the neutral): Makes remarks that he may regret in the future, he doesn't make eye contact, Plays with his glove when he's bored or nervous, stutters when he's speechless, and ignores what people say when it's not "interesting enough".
Hobbies, likes, and dislikes: He likes animals, but he's afraid of dogs and claims to be allergic to them. Which he isn't. Also, he goes to museums for fun and looks at all the things he considers as cool. To let you in on a secret, he collects stamps! He hates it when people insist they do something for him, or pity him.

Morals: He doesn't want to kill people, he just tricks the unforgivable people that have done something extremely wrong, like robbing their bank account or rigging a game.
Seen by other characters as: Plain rude or a person who needs a friend. It usually depends on what they perceive him as, based on first impressions. He could be charming to some and not so appealing to others.
Background: Before he turned 13, his life was completely normal. His mother and father were 2 hard workers, and Matthew was left alone with his aunt when there wasn't anyone else to watch him. His parents told him to make a lot of friends at school and stay with the good ones. Which seemed cheesy at the time, but he should've listened. He lied to his parents and said that he finally found a really good group of friends. The reason why he needed to make a lot of friends, is because when he turned 13, he felt hungry all the time. He expressed that feeling to his parents and they asked him if he still had good friends. After days of interrogation, he gave up and said he didn't. A few months earlier, he found out that his buddies were only using him to copy off of work. His parents explained what he had to do, to feel normal, and he didn't like one bit of it. Years later, Matthew found out that his mother had used compulsion on his dad to make him fall in love with her. It felt wrong to him, because of that feeling, they bought a house under their name for him, so he could live without their constant surveillance. And of course he has a job, it's working as a librarian at night shifts, so the job isn't too difficult along with High school. But he figured out what triggered the feeding, it was just a smile and eye contact, so he stopped doing them with people around. A simple solution would be finding someone who'd be happy and shared that feeling with him, but he doesn't know how that's possible. Though, Matthew found out how to use one of his skills for good. He conned or used deceit against people who harmed others.
