• Description

  Wild golden eyes stared from beneath a hunter's brow, the feral red-wolf a rather daunting sight despite his obvious malnourishment and lanky disposition. His thick and shaggy coat was decorated with swaths of browns and reds, molded over a lithe and near bony frame. Hips were prominent underneath the fur thanks to his hardships at hunting and the fact that he had to resort to scavanging did enough to dampen his pride. If that weren't bad enough, the deep bald scars upon his neck, muzzle and hips showed the meager status he held in the society of his own kin, despite him being one that traveled alone. A long and whispy tail trailed behind him, tucked against his leg much of the time as he moved, and those large coned ears were always tucked back with a scrunch of that nose.

• Biography

  The lanky red wolf wasn't always a four-legged beast, and it probably would have been prevented if he had listened to his father about the maiden that lived by the river. He was once a proud young man, well known for his womanizing and whoring amongst the townsfolk. Many a father loathed the mention of his name, and many a young poet swooned at the man's passion. He was careless and foolish, which came with his age, however, his fate took an inevitably daunting turn when he had met a young maiden at the shores of a great river that passed through his home-city.
  
  Many rumors and stories were told of a beautiful young witch that used the river as a vessel for her magic, whose beauty was only contrasted by her fierce and vile jealousy. Nicknamed the Black Widow of the Tiber, it was said that the lovers that had scorned her were never seen or heard from again, and that she drank their blood to remain youthful after they had betrayed her.
  
  It only took a day for the man to fall in love with the witch, and their infatuation with each other grew with each passing day. However, as with all young men, temptation drew him away for a night. When his young lover caught wind of the betrayal, in her anger she set a curse upon him. Binding his human form within a thick and heavy collar she had hidden he was forced to spend the rest of his days as a feral wolf (the animal she had described him as, ravenous and wicked). It was not only insult enough that he was indeed an animal, but that he was the lowest in the pack caste, a beta, a rejected.

• The Beast's Circlet

  The Beast's Circlet is the heavy collar that had been enchanted by the witch to hold Aravanni's human form. It was simple in appearance, thick leather bound with metallic accents upon the buckle and the fastener. The only thing relatively odd about the piece is that it seemed to hold an iridescent sheen upon its surface. Relatively useless to those who aren't the bonded one, it holds little value and little purpose.
