• Description Details

  Tillik is rather tall for a female, and, being avian, is completely flat-chested. This means she can easily pass for a boy... which she often does on accident, particularly when she's not wearing a shirt. (Tillik doesn't seem to have the aversion to being shirtless that most upstanding women have, but when you grow up in a culture where both men and women are the same in the torso, it matters less.)
  
  Her arms are long and her hands are large, almost comically so. Along the backs of her arms are crests of large primary feathers. These seem to be traces of vestigial wings, a trait shared by her people. It means that Tillik cannot fly, no matter how much she'd enjoy it. In fact, she gets the worst of both worlds; she can't fly, and though she has an opposable thumb and digits for dexterous work, the size of her hands makes it impossible to ever get perfect precision.

• Biography

  Tillik is a simple bird with simple tastes: fuzzy animals and sparkly jewelry. She makes a meager living working odd jobs as she travels, and spends all her money on shiny baubles and food for her pets. What jewelry she does manage to collect is often pawned just so she can put food in her own belly.
  
  One of Tillik's great-grandsomethings was a light elemental, giving Tillik her abilities. She can soak up light from the sun (or other light sources, like fire, in a pinch) and release it later in various forms. She can summon a tiny ball to light up a cave, shoot a cone at her opponents to daze them, create a large field of dim illumination, or any other number of things. She also has the ability to temporarily soak up light at a much faster pace, creating zones of darkness. (Light absorbed this way doesn't recharge her, however.) Though she might have the potential for other magics, this is the only one she's achieved any level of mastery in.
