Whimsey Mamorthod

Like many with troubled history in Fodlan, Whimsey went through difficult times in her life thanks to those who resided in the underground city of Shambhala. Growing up in the village of Timotheos, a village hidden away in the woods in the northern region of Adrestia and surrounded by Demonic Beasts, she ran away from the village on a whim at a young age, along with a close friend of hers. The two were attacked by Demonic Beasts before getting out of the woods, and neither were heard from again in their village. For Whimsey, separated from her friend and wounded after the attack, she was captured by the mountainside and taken to the underground city of Shambhala. It was there that she was frequently experimented upon, for reasons she never truly came to wrap her head around. Through them, she gained a second Crest in addition to her birth Crest, ones that gave her immense magical potential as well as a shortened lifespan looming over her head. Though, the multiple years of trauma and torture that came from her time being captive in Shambhala came to bring her personality close to the distant woman she is in the monastery, and the happenings there were something she kept from everyone around her.

Her escape from Shambhala was nothing but a fit of dumb luck. When a Demonic Beast ran wild out of rage at it's captivity underground, shattering the cell she was kept in, she was able to find her way out amidst the chaos. Though, she wasn't able to escape entirely undetected, and had to fight her way out of being recaptured by the mages that were after her. It was a battle she ended up winning, though not without suffering a number of injuries of her own. Collapsing just outside of Hyrm territory, in Gronder Field. It was there that a group of passing knights noticed her, without a trace of the assailants that had been after her, just a frail girl on her deathbed. Alois, of all people, was firm in taking the girl back to the monastery for immediate medical attention.

When she came to the next day, still in shock that she had survived her escape, she refused to speak a word to the number of strangers that surrounded her. Her rescue took place just a short two months before the 1180 school year was slated to begin, and said two months she was put to work delivering mail around the monastery. While she spoke no more than distant greetings to anyone but Seteth and Rhea, who she was decently obedient to due to be saved by them, she gained a bit of a reputation for her being an odd, creepy sort of girl. With no home that Seteth was able to trace Whimsey back to, she was slated to join the Golden Deer at mostly random when the school year drew closer, even despite quiet protests from Whimsey that she'd no interest in learning, much less at a school as prestitigous as Garreg Mach. With a near half of her life lost to her captivity, she knew she'd be far behind any potential peers she might have.
