  Zero Grace Nightshade was born to a couple of newlywed demons, Zephyr and Nyx Nightshade. Her mother died while giving birth to her. When her father heard the unfortunate news, it tore him apart. He was madly in love with Zero's mother and despised the fact that his offspring killed her. He raised Zero with a cruel hand but that never changed her kind nature. She was very much like her mother. She would take care of others despite the fact that she was falling apart mentally on the inside. She never liked the fact that she killed her mother and it is a great weight on her shoulders. Her father, however, after his wife's death, became cruel and ruthless. By the time Zero was 10, he had already beaten her and tortured her enough that she went mute. She would continue to get beaten until she was 13 when she ran away from her father and joined a knighthood for a royal human family. By the age of 16, she would already have risen up the ranks of the knighthood and become the first female head knight for the royal family. It was unbeknownst to them however that she was a lesbian who had fallen madly in love with the princess of the castle. The princess reciprocated the feelings and the two planned to elope. But Zero's father found out and murdered the princess while she was in the garden, tending to the flowers. When Zero stumbled across her dead human lover's body, she vowed to kill her father and avenge her lover's death. She resigned as the head knight at the age of 18 and headed off to find and kill her father. The rest of her story is yet to unfold.
