Appearance: -
Kaa'Elsaar, known otherwise as Kaa, is an alchemist, apothecary, and proud specimen of the Ṅkhya'jra race. The man's posture carries a smooth and proper gait, upheld by hubris and amplified by his elegant height. His complexion is that of a muted grey, which when beheld beneath the light can be seen to have a mild yet captivating golden hue. His face - still and forlorn - is crafted beneath an angular visage, and sharp cheekbones sculpt into a pair of striking eyes. Golden irises set into near-black scleras, and look down upon the world with innate disdain.
Though the markings on his flesh tell many stories, the icon of the Ṅkhya'jra presents itself as a set of multiple, dark brown horns. Kaa boasts a particularly grand crown, consisting of two forward-facing horns which almost completely obscure his ears. Another pair extends from the base of his skull, and keratin can be seen to have claimed most of his neck, jawline, and upper arms. A pair of smaller instances can be seen upon his forehead. These traits are scaly by appearance, but stone to the touch. A mane of brown hair spills back from his skull, ending in a point between his shoulder blades.
Bio :-
Kaa'Elsaar is a master of alchemy and both an apothecary and jeweller by trade. His medicines are often gravely expensive and his adoration for precious materials can be seen all across his attire, in the form of gem-embedded trinkets and silks woven with golden thread. His affinity for materialism precedes him, and his levels of compassion have nigh become null, replaced only by pride and apathy. The populace of Püertagœ remain wisely wary of this peculiar male, but his desirability as a jeweller is undeniable.
Though the Ṅkhya'jra is well-known for his medicinal values, he is also the source of a handful of eerie rumours. Whispers tell of dubious magic and self-experimentation; visible scars scatter his body from tissue removal, and evidence can be seen of an instance where he had even removed one of his own ribs. If one were to peek through the door of his back room, one might notice a shelved collection of jars, each filled with dubious contents strangely familiar to the mind's eye. Souvenirs are taken from patients across the years; feathers, hairs, and shards of bone. Samples ranging in significance taken from an array of races who innocently entrust themselves to Kaa'Elsaar's care. His actions are grotesque, yet subtle enough for them to rarely acknowledge the strange absence of a lock of hair after awakening, nor the ghostly feeling of a missing rib. Unfazed by morals, he works towards a silent goal with eerie intent.
Alas, such things are surely never spoken of by Kaa, whose desire to share his knowledge equates to almost zero.
Almost zero. In his notes, Kaa has expressed the mild desire to appoint an apprentice within his workshop. One who might learn the ways of jewellery, only to be weaned into sinister habits by means of a gentle, prolonged introduction. Though his displeasure towards other cultures runs strongly as with most of his kind, he perhaps believes that all beings hold the potential for progression. Such is the way of equality, is it not?
Personality :-
Unfortunately, Kaa's persona is of the delectable sort. A prideful appearance is matched with quiet arrogance as he beholds the world with judgemental eyes. His opinions on others are heavily influenced by stigmas and stereotypes, as is made so apparent by the mere way in which he speaks of the Khah'. The years spent in his own company have even resulted in a strange distaste towards even his own kind; he speaks nothing of his brethren, and keeps his family name to himself. Enamoured so deeply by his own research, he has abandoned nigh all things his family held dear, and only hears of familial matters from his sister's rare yet insistent attempts to pry into his business.
Occasionally, however, it is not unknown for Kaa to display varying degrees of 'kindness' towards particular individuals. Those persistent enough to kick down his resentful expectations are sometimes met with reluctant, subtle methods of care-taking. Unwavering from his usual demeanour, his words of advice are wrapped in his usual dismissive tone, but are quietly assuring nonetheless.
