• The Scarlet Scourge

  Horns: Kalix'nial's big, curved horns offer his face ample protection against blades, in addition to making a good weapon in a pinch.
  Dragon Ancestry: Kalix'nial has the blood of red dragons in his veins. This grants him some resistance to flames, but more importantly, gives him the ability to breathe fire.
  Mutant Arm: Kalix'nial's left arm is huge, mutated, and freakishly strong, reaching almost to his ankles. He has little fine control with this arm, due to both its size and its long, black claws. It's also covered in red dragonscales, making it fairly resistant against slashing weapons.

• The Terror of Perdition

  Leather Armor: Run of the mill black leather armor, worn beneath Kalix's longcoat. It protects his right arm, but obviously not his left.
  Swordbreaker Bracer: Around his left forearm, Kalix has a leather bracer with a steel guard that goes along his ulna. From that guard extend five spikes that point toward his elbow at a dramatic angle. There are grooves at the bases of these spikes. The bracer is made to entrap blades so that he can use the monstrous strength of his mutant arm to break them.
  Cutlass: A run-of-the-mill cutlass, with a 25-inch blade.
  Pistols: Two wheellock pistols are tucked into a belt he wears across his chest, where he can quickly draw and fire them with his right hand.
