Description
Alpha male. Sometimes plays a detective, an medeival hunter and trapper on the wrong side of the law, sometimes a college student studying law enforcement.
Modern Setting:
He is a (sometimes rogue) detective/police officer. Former FBI, access to the classified NSA database. Knows things he shouldn't know, has connections he shouldn't have. He's on the side of good, but he doesn't mind getting his hands dirty to get to the result he thinks is right; the ends justify the means, to him.
FAMILY
There are two modern timelines for David.
In one he is a bitter divorcee, in the other he's found the love of his life and his life's purpose in making a stable family with her.
In one he's unhappy, lonely, a workaholic. In the other he's happy, but only after enormous, almost impossible to surmount difficulties. He is in awe of the girl he falls for. He loves her and is loved in return. He's still a bit of a workaholic, but with something to come home to: a family.
In the other, his family is, in good part, the crime victims he bonds like steel to along the way through his crazy, unpredictable journey.

Happy Home Timeline:
Status: Madly, torturously in love. Think Johnny Cash with June Carter, with regard to emotion. She's his Ring of Fire.
Children: Unknown yet
Background: David meets a girl in college who makes him second guess his middle class notions and he falls head over heels for her, willing to throw it all away for only even a chance to be in her happy ending and for her to be in his.
Divorcee Timeline:
Status: Divorced
Children: Dylan and Cole
Background:
He is divorced and has a fragile relationship with his ex wife, (nonplayer character) Karen.
When they divorced, she got the house and the kids, and he turned his energy to work. He became a workahaulic to fill the hole in his heart that he lost when he lost his marriage and the feeling of family unity. He still sees his sons, but not as often as he should. And they don't react warmly to him, poisioned by their mother's stories of his flaws, real and invented. His oldest son Dylan is especially bitter toward him, believing the divorce was his fault. In this timeline, work consumes David and he repressed everything Family. He pretends to be fine, and he is, as long as he can keep working. He drinks occasionally. Overdrinks. But despite any of the family drama, he's an excellent detective, he's a good friend, and a cheerful guy, with a sense of humor, and connections. He's an ambitious "machine" and pulls out all stops when he wants to take someone down.
In the line of duty, he meets some crime victims that become his friends and become like family. It's an unlikely, makeshift family the antics and adventures of which are often completely unpredictable.

Style: He's a skater. Always with his skateboard.
Hair: medium brown and longish, about to his ears, cut in uneven layers (see pic below)
Eyes: hazel, wistful, dreamer, angry eyes, expressive
Features: more on the side of the masculine
Bio: He listens to punk rock, he's angry at both parents for their divorce and in general doesn't like authority. He's not confrontational, more cool and laid back, but he's a soft-spoken rebel who will get loud when he's not left alone and is backed into a corner. Has taken on skater culture and mainly does street skating. Tricks on stairs and ledges and natural ramps found in the urban landscape. He's friendly, and emotionally well, but he's just reserved and angry at his situation.
Clothes:
Shirt: Black Carhartt logo shirt or other simple logo shirt or band shirt for punk or ska bands
Pants: khaki cargo pants (Carhartt or Dickies), shorts depending on the weather, or blue jeans, rolled up above the ankle
Shoes: Skater shoes, brown or black and white Emericas or Vanns
2. Cole
Age: 15
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Bio: He's a nerdy kid who likes science fiction and fantasy. Does well in school. Follows rules. Likes to read. Doesn't cause trouble. It causes him stress when his older brother causes his parents trouble and he wishes his brother would stop. The divorce didn't hit him so hard, because he was already in his own world. He didn't have unreasonable expectations on himself that he should have some kind of control over the split, like his brother seemed to.
