Adonis Burnett

History

• Biography

  At seven years of age, Adonis was kidnapped from his family. He was born to Persephone and Acanthus Burnett as their ninth child and first son in their home kingdom of Aparat.
  
  Adonis was taken to the kingdom of Atropa, where he was kept in Castle Belladonna as the playmate of young prince Oleander, who did countless unspeakable things to him throughout his life. When Oleander grew tired of him, he cast his would-be slave into the catacombs of his castle, leaving him to rot for twenty two years. Occasionally Oleander would bring Adonis to small get-togethers to give the impression of a good relationship between a king and his so-called “advisor”, but the truth is hard to mask. On one such occasion, Adonis can remember with vivid detail that Oleander pierced the skin of his wrists with heavy fishing hooks, keeping Adonis on strings as though he were nothing more than a puppet. This event left him nervous, far more nervous than before. The slightest sound triggers a fight or flight response.
  
  Adonis was able to study the art of magic in this time. More specifically, Necromancy. He has used this skill to raise his former pet, a cat by the name of Morpheus, from the dead. The two are inseparable at all times.
