• how two became one

  There has never been a moment more symbolic of the unification of two worlds than the joining of the souls of Silvius and Indigo. And never a more catastrophic union will there ever be.
  
  After another failed revolt in the heavens above the earth, Silvius, the angel, low in rank and dispensable, sought a place to hide from the wrath of the gods and those angels that remained loyal to them. Of course the most logical place to hide would be the place no angel in their right minds would ever visit of their own volition: earth.
  
  The thing about earth is that it is not designed to allow angels to thrive. Angels, being creatures from another plane of existence, are more susceptible to the magic of earth. Due to the high amounts of power, higher-rank angels such as Seraphs and Cherubim are virtually unaffected by this difference, but Silvius, a low-rank angel, sought a shield. A means of keeping himself unaffected by the strange magic of Earth.
  
  This shield came in the form of Indigo. Indigo was a young prince living in the North of magical Medieval Europe, and the second in a line of four siblings. His older brother, Cenric, was the heir to the throne, and had monster-hunting as a hobby. The two used to be very close, but as the death of their father, the king, approached, Cenric became more and more preoccupied with his soon to be kingly duties, and others showered him with the honor and resposibility of his unofficial position as monarch.
  
  Indigo, jealous of the praise and attention that came over his older brother, attempted to distract himself by taking up two very dangerous occupations: gambling, and romance.
  
  Indigo, with a royal fortune to bet with, became a very experienced and skilled gambler, and the same became true of his courting skills. Indigo would flirt with anyone and everyone, regardless of gender, social status, or race.
  
  one day, Cenric made an attempt at reconnecting with his younger brother by telling him about the angelic river nymphs that lived in the river just north of the kingdom. Cenric's plan was to travel north and slay one, however, Indigo, intrigued by the tale, stole Cenric's horse that night and traveled north... with the hopes to court one of the nymphs.
  
  The nymphs, however, were not nymphs at all, but angels either trapped or in exile. Silvius was among them. They all waited for prey to come along.
  
  The one true sign an angel has become something beyond salvation is when it develops the animalistic instinct to hunt, and these angels were hunting for something for their souls to inhabit.
  
  And when Indigo waded into the river, half naked, with the intention of seducing the inhabitants of the river, there was no doubt that he would fall prey to the once-angelic beings that lurked in these waters.
  
  Silvius was the one to take him, but once he resided within Indigo's being, he realized that Indigo had too strong a soul for him to eliminate, or even subdue. Silvius was a prisoner within someone else's body.
  
  Unaware of what had gone down, but in excruciating pain, he returned home with the idea in mind that he could head to the physician and hope to recover from whatever was making him be in this much pain. But as he arrived home he ran into his Cenric, who noticed Indigo's usually deep blue eyes now glowed silver, and a dark halo of corrupted light surrounded Indigo's head.
  
  Cenric, who had a profound hatred of anything and everything mystical or magical, accused Indigo(/Silvius) of being a malevolent spirit and gave him the title of traitor, and ordered him to be executed.
  
  The guards, loyal to Cenric like a hound to it's master, didn't question why he was ordering the death of his own little brother, and attacked him.
  
  Indigo escaped on his (Cenric's) horse out of the kingdom, and is currently hiding in the forests just outside the border of the country, where his angelic side, Silvius, froze time around him/them as a hiding tactic.
  
  Indigo doesn't calculate time very well and ends up waking up in a very different time: the future.

• A physical manifestation

  Because Indigo is not just Indigo, but a melting pot of both Indigo and Silvius (despite consistently going by the name Indigo), he has two sets of physical features that continually manifest themselves in different combinations. These combinations differ based on whether one soul has more control or if the two souls are existing in harmony.
  
  Once the two souls finish fusing, Indigo's physique will stay stagnant.
  
  Note: Indigo pre- fusion with Silvius will be referred to as (pure)Indigo from here on out, as he is purely human still,
