• The Untold Side Of The Legend

  
  
  Come Away O' Human Child.
  
  We all know the tale of the Patch-worked piper entering Hamelin and ridding it of the rat infestation that plagued it for an agreed upon price. Then what he did when he was cheated his reward. But where did this multicolored musician come from? How does he do what he does? Where did he take the children?
  
  Well this is the man. He has the answers. But would he share them? Not likely.
  
  To The Waters And The Wild.
  
  However, I know his tale, and I will relay it to you as I heard it.
  
  Once upon a time,
  because that is how all stories start, isn't it?
  
  Once upon a time, there was a little boy born on a farm. He was a handsome, happy child, rarely crying though occasionally getting into mischief, as children do. His parents were proud of him as he grew. They told him never to leave the farm or go out into the hills. But the very young do not always do as they are told. One day his curiosity got the better of him and he wandered past the borders of his parents farm and into the green, wooded hills. Few living creatures know what happened there but he came back later in the day, miraculously not losing his way, his absence just barely discovered when he came toddling back.
  
  With A Fairy Hand In Hand.
  
  Such a shame really. His proud parents only enjoyed the love of their son for 5 years when one day, he was gone. He had been acting strange for weeks. Staring up at the sky when there was nothing of note there, pressing his hands and ears to trees, even talking some sort of gibberish to thin air. They were just thinking of taking him to a doctor when suddenly, their bundle of joy was gone.
  
  For The Worlds More Full Of Weeping.
  
  The boy followed the fairies away. A Stolen Child. Unlike the Changelings, there was no replacement made. Just an empty crib and the remnants of the proper bed his father had been making for him. A tiny coffin fashioned and buried with no body within. While dimensions away a child played, laughed and grew amid the fairies.
  
  Than He Can Understand.
  
  The child grew into a man, living the wilderness without trial or difficulty. A hunter and a minstrel for the Fae's delight and for his own. Among the Fae folk he is fun loving, a little childish and full of wonder and magic. Among the mortal's he is stoic and reserved. But he always loves to play his ocarina. He caries two daggers, Venom, with it's vicious blade and a hilt the shape of a coiled serpent, and Risu, the sleek, shining dagger with it's graceful curves. He also has a fur and leather pouch with the face of a white fox on it that holds a few smaller, meager belongings, and his money. He grows jaded and weary of the lies and deceit of mortal men and only emerges from Fae grounds or woodland when he needs to for money or whatever else such a man would seek.
