⎨NAME⎬ Her full name is Rosie Cresswell. ⎨ALIAS(ES)⎬ Rosie to friends, “Cresswell” to most others. ⎨AGE⎬ She is 17 years old. Born on August 23rd, which makes her a Virgo—hard on herself, harder still to read. ⎨BLOOD STATUS⎬ Pure-blood witch, though her loyalty to the title is thin at best. ⎨BIRTH PLACE⎬ She was born and raised in Cresswell Manor, Somerset, England—a gilded prison of wealth and expectation. ⎨NATIONALITY⎬ British, of Korean descent on her mother’s side. She belongs fully to neither world. ⎨EDUCATION⎬ Hogwarts, 7th year, Slytherin—her parents’ House, not her choice. |
⎨BUILD⎬ Lithe, long-limbed, posture deliberate—every angle of her body calculated to hide or defy. ⎨COMPLEXION⎬ Pale as moonlight, as she cannot get a tan even if she wanted. ⎨HEIGHT⎬ She measures 167 centimetres. ⎨EYES⎬ She has mossy-brown doe eyes, warm only when her mask slips. ⎨HAIR⎬ Long, sleek, and black hair that is often loose, framing her pale face like a shield. ⎨TRADEMARKS⎬ Her flawless mask of indifference. ⎨QUIRKS⎬ Her body language speaks when her face does not—A straightened spine, a lowered gaze, the way her hands knot in her lap—these subtle shifts reveal far more than she would ever willingly admit. |
⎨QUIDDITCH⎬ She has no interest in Quidditch. The spectacle, the competition, the danger—none of it appeals to her. Her escapes lie in quieter corners of Hogwarts. ⎨STRENGTHS⎬ She is quiet, observant, a girl who sees far more than she says. Beneath her guarded exterior lies a soft heart but some hard edges linger. She is animated and lively once the mask is ripped away but by no means any less guarded. Above all, she is fiercely protective of those she trusts and resilient—able to endure what would have broken others long ago. ⎨WEAKNESSES⎬ Guarded to the point of letting others in, fears emotional vulnerability and avoids it at all costs, convinced that feelings are weaknesses her parents taught her to suppress. Her dutiful loyalty to her family keeps her tethered, afraid to sever ties completely. ⎨LIKES⎬ She loves magical creatures, Herbology, curling up in bed with her cat, drifting into long naps, and well-worn second-hand books with faded pages. These small, stolen pleasures are her acts of rebellion against a life otherwise dictated by duty. ⎨DISLIKES⎬ She despises her family’s legacy, the cruelty they perpetuate, and the mask of perfection they force her to wear; she hates the idea of becoming exactly what her parents want her to be. She detests the nosy interference of those who mistake her silence for emptiness rather than restraint. |

CHILD OF SILENT WARS
OF HIDDEN SORROW ![]() Rosie Cresswell was born alongside her twin brother, Morgan, as the firstborn child of Vinda and Lyell Cresswell, a strict family of Pure-blood wizards and witches. Her childhood was marked with desperate attempts to earn the affection of her parents, yet after years of effort she learned it was a futile endeavour. Her father, detached and businesslike, seemed to view her as a disappointment simply by being born a daughter rather than the male heir he wanted. Morgan inherited Lyell’s attention and the unspoken promise of legacy. Rosie, by contrast, was little more than a shadow in her father’s eyes. Her mother was far worse. Vinda Cresswell thrived on control and cruelty, and Rosie became her favorite target. For years, Rosie endured sharp words, withering expectations, and punishments designed to break her will. When Vinda eventually turned her wrath toward Morgan, Rosie stepped between them in whatever way she could. Protecting her brother became her quiet rebellion, her only sense of purpose in a house that offered no affection. When Rosie’s Hogwarts letter arrived on her eleventh birthday—while Morgan’s was sorted into Ilvermorny—she felt something close to freedom for the first time. Sorted into Slytherin like her parents, she earned a rare flicker of approval from them. But Hogwarts was more than just another tradition checked off a list; it was her sanctuary. At first, Rosie kept to herself, wary of opening up. That changed when she met Yuri Song, a fellow Slytherin and, unexpectedly, her cousin. The two girls bonded instantly, forging a loyalty that no family feud could undo. Later came Noah McClair, whose sharp wit and steadfast loyalty made him one of the few people Rosie would trust with her life. For a brief while, she began to thrive, to imagine that she might become more than the sum of her upbringing. But the shadow of the Cresswell name followed her even within Hogwarts’ walls. Her parents learned of her secret friendship with Kieran Marshall, a Hufflepuff boy whose family carried a history of bitter clashes with the Cresswells. The punishment that followed was severe enough that most would have abandoned the bond. Yet, thanks to Noah’s interference and Rosie’s stubbornness, the friendship endured—though only in hushed meetings and fleeting, hidden moments. Back at Cresswell Manor, during school breaks, the suffocating weight of her parents’ expectations closed in again. By the time she returned to Hogwarts, Rosie had perfected her mask: a cool, unreadable veneer of indifference. Beneath it, however, she remained deeply conflicted—fiercely protective of her brother, wary of betrayal, and desperate for connection even as she pushed people away. To outsiders, Rosie Cresswell seemed enviable. Wealth, prestige, and the Cresswell name made her a figure of awe and jealousy within Slytherin House. But Rosie had learned early that wealth was a gilded cage, and power a poison. Her parents’ pursuit of both had stripped their family of affection, leaving her to grow into a young woman who equated vulnerability with weakness. Rosie learned to survive by obeying her parents just enough to protect herself and Morgan. She lived a double life—dutiful daughter at home, guarded but quietly rebellious at school. Cowardice, she called it herself, though in truth it was endurance. Still, it left her divided. She could never offer absolute loyalty to anyone outside her family name, yet she longed for freedom from it. Beneath the indifference she showed the world, Rosie was a girl caught between two paths: one paved with her parents’ expectations, the other with the faint glimmers of the person she might choose to become. Those who broke through her mask—Yuri, Noah, Kieran—saw a warmer, more animated Rosie. But for most, she remained the cool, unreadable Cresswell girl: loyal only to her family, bound by duty, and forever torn between survival and the faint hope of something more. |

A Virgo personality is a mix of intelligence, attention to detail, common sense, and commitment, and a woman born in this sign is very smart, modest, and capable. Trying to get close to this woman can seem intimidating at first, for she is likely to put on a facade of indifference in order to distance herself from others. However, she is not cold nor unapproachable but practical, realistic and cautious when it comes to starting new relationships. She will never simply give herself to someone without assessing their character and emotions shared with her from the beginning. Attracted to intelligent but distant personalities, a Virgo woman has a strong capacity to love, but chooses to wait for sharing her emotions until she is ready. Private and defensive, this is someone who needs her defense mechanisms respected but still broken by the right person. |

⎨CHARMS⎬
A charm, also known as an enchantment, is a spell that adds certain properties to an object or individual. Charms are distinguished from transfigurations in that a charm adds or changes properties of an object; it focuses on altering what the object does as opposed to what the object is. For example, the Colour Change Charm causes something to flash different colours; the Levitation Charm causes an object to levitate, the Cheering Charm improves upon a creature's mood.
|APPARITION|
Apparition is a magical form of transportation, in which the user travels instantly from one location to another, without traversing the space in-between. This is accomplished by having the user focus on a desired location in their mind and then purposely disappearing from where they were, to reappear at the desired location. Apparition is by far the fastest way to get to a desired destination, but is tricky to pull off correctly and disastrous if botched. The ability to apparate was a relatively advanced skill for wizards.
⎨CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES⎬
Care of Magical Creatures, also known as Creature Care is an elective course at Hogwarts that can be chosen by students in their third year. In the class, students learn about a wide range of magical creatures, from flobberworms to fire crabs, and even unicorns and thestrals. Students are taught about feeding, maintaining, breeding, and proper treatment of these creatures and many more.
⎨HERBOLOGY⎬
Herbology is the study of magical and mundane plants and fungi, making it the wizarding equivalent to botany. Herbology is a core class and subject taught at Hogwarts in which students learn to care for and utilise plants, learn about their magical properties and what they are used for. Many plants provide ingredients for potions and medicine, while others have magical effects of their own right.
⎨POTIONS⎬
Potions (Latin potio, 'beverage') are magical mixtures commonly brewed in cauldrons and used to create a number of magical effects on the drinker. Potions range in effects, nature, and brewing difficulty. An example of a beginners potion is the Cure for Boils, which is the first potion learned at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredibly advanced and challenging one is the Polyjuice Potion, that even adult Witches and Wizards have trouble with. |
