Leon Smithwick

Childhood (4-12): When he was young, his family moved from a small town to the city of Umbra. The transition wasn’t too hard on the youth, who found the new school fun, his neighbors nice and friendly.
However, one night, when his father went out to the bar with some friends from his new place of work, he never came home. It was impossible to say whether it was his choice, or if he was stolen during the night. The next few weeks were the worst of his life. There was nothing left behind with which the man could be tracked, as if he had vanished entirely. By the end of the week, the local police knocked on their door; they had found parts of his father’s body, lying in the street, as if discarded. Some even say they looked as though they'd been half-eaten. The boy never got to see his father's remains; the funeral was closed-casket.

Adolescence (13-19): That event changed how the youth reacted to the world around them. What was once a nice new city, filled with shiny new people, who would become future friends, soon became a place with darkness in every corner. Shadows on walls would make the boy jump, and this caused anyone who might be his new friends, to flee his company. The tumultuous emotions of adolescence didn’t help, spawning panic attacks and meltdowns.
When most people of his age went to college, some of them going to different cities, different countries, he was one of the few who stayed home with his aging mother. He took a few years of getting emotionally settled, before he finally decided to follow everyone’s advice, and start taking classes at the local college.

Adulthood (20-26): He is now juggling a few college courses, taking care of his mother, and a part time job at the pub near his house, generally working as a bar back.
