Intentionally or not, Franklin can come across as pretty mean or even spiteful. He doesn't think about hurting others or their emotions when he speaks, he isn't the considerate type and not used to people telling him off, so naturally, he says what he wants and if it's something hurtful and mean, he might have not even realized it. He occupies a high position and therefore he carries himself with arrogant and condescending air but he feels like he has a right for it since he built himself up from almost nothing. He is a capable man and a powerful businessman and he made a big name for himself. His company is everything to him. It's like his child and family at the same time. He never had much of a family and so he compensates for the lack of it with his work. There isn't a thing he wouldn't do for the sake of his company. That lack of family led to many psychological issues for Franklin. He feels unable to form long-term relationships and has complexes when it comes to starting and maintaining relationships. As a result of not getting enough love as a child, he doesn't really know how to experience it or how to show it. He doesn't have many friends outside of his business partners and colleagues, but he tells himself it's the way he wants it, though deep down he knows it is not true. |
