The locksmith and his shop sort of.... appeared in town one day. Where there had been only a run-down, boarded up tavern, there was a small building in its place, the painted "LOCKSMITH" letters chipping as though it had borne many a winter in the village. The shop and its quiet, private owner were largely ignored by the villagers, but strange hooded figures were often seen entering... but never leaving.
