    Estelle claims to be a werewolf, but does not seem to exhibit any of the usual traits associated with them. It's more likely that she's just an anthropomorphic wolf, though she acts more like a dog at times. She's also known to be a little ditzy and tends to take things too literally sometimes. Estelle is a single mother and is a long time subscriber to the local dog fancy, kennel club and numerous breed specific magazines. Once she found out that they were widely considered family magazines she's become more open about reading them. Her daughter wishes she hadn't. Estelle hasn't quite grasped human behavior yet or maybe she never intended to in the first place. She tries hard to raise her daughter the best she can and come to terms with the fact that Stella is not a puppy, even if she is her 'puppy' in the mother/child sense. Estelle signs her name as 'Essay' which she strongly believes is a valid variant spelling of 'Essie'.

    Stella is Estelle's human daughter. She was adopted when she was a toddler. Even though Stella was raised by her mother all her life she has also attended public school with ordinary human children for the same amount of time and picked up on the fact that her mother is very different than the other kids' mothers. When she was very little she tried hard to be a 'good' wolf cub. This was fine at home, but didn't go over well in preschool when she would growl at and bite other children instead of sharing. As she's gotten older she's tried to conform to normal human behavior so she can fit in. She only wishes her mother would try to do the same, at least when they're in public.

    Pet names used by her mother: Darling, Puppy, Cub, Cubby-wubby, Cubby-wubby-lovey.
