• Biography

  Bartholomew was raised by the Eastern Tower Elves, a small, secluded sect of elvish scholars. The Tower Elves are a pretentious bunch- they dedicate their entire lives to studying the ways of the world, despite seldom interacting with it. The Tower elves are housed in a skyward tower far, far above the earth. Most of them have never even been able to get to the bottom of the tower- it just goes on and on, with no end in sight. The tower is purposely designed to isolate its inhabitants so they can focus on their research, whether they want to or not.
  Bartholomew was one of those elves who did not. His whole life was spent in his study in that cursed tower, never seeing anything out his window but a bright blue sky, and the occasionally puffy cloud. Bartholomew knew there was more out there, though. He had read books, many books, that told tales of sprawling cities, mountains and hills, oceans and deserts.
  He couldn't take the boredom of staying in his little study, reading and researching crap he had never even seen with his own eyes. The monotony of his life was killing him, so why even stay?
  One day, Bartholomew Hutchens put down his books, opened his window, and jumped headfirst out that tower. His life has been noticeably more exciting ever since.
