True Height: 1'10" Body Type: Endomorph (Squishy and slightly chubby) Complexion: Pale pink Fur Colour: White with faint cyan highlights Fur Markings: Red Eye Colour: Electric Blue Description A small mammalian imp-like creature, Tetsuji is covered in fur. His slender digitigrade legs are capable of supporting his whole body, but he can move quicker on all four limbs. His fingers are pointed and hardened under his fur, allowing them to easily grip onto rough surfaces as well as cause injury. His long pointed ears also offer great hearing. When shapeshifted, Tetsuji will always return to his True form if he loses consciousness, including due to sleep. Though his physical strength is poor in this form and his small size means it is slower than his Hybrid form, his zodiac powers are at their strongest in his True form. Clothing Clothing is hard to come by for someone of his height, but his fur and anatomy provide natural vanity, and thus aside from a small cloak that he sometimes wears, he does not need to bother.

Hybrid Height: 5'3" Body Type: Ectomorph (Skinny) Complexion: Pale east asian with red markings Fur Colour: White, blond and grey Hair Style: Messy, naturally spiky Eye Colour: Pure green Description The closest to human Tetsuji can get unaided, this form often serves as a go-to when requiring more human anatomy in a non-public place. It also makes a decent go-between when preparing to enter human form, given its anatomy provides natural vanity whilst also being of humanoid proportions, allowing Tetsuji to get dressed without much embarrassment. With long pointed furry ears, and fur covering most places, save for the face, chest and belly, this form is noticeably inhuman. Blond hair transitions into fur, slowly becoming white in a gradient toward all extremities. A patch of grey fur covers his back. Red markings adorn his skin in various locations, and his fingers sport sharp claws. His feet resemble those of his True form whilst his face has a slight snout to it with a more inset nose than typical of a human. The digitigrade nature of Tetsuji's legs allow him to move quickly, particularly on all-fours. In case of serious combat or test of agility, his Hybrid form is by far preferable to his human form and indeed his True form. In comparison to his True form, his Hybrid form tires him more quickly, particularly when physically active. Clothing In private, Tetsuji does not tend to wear clothing in this form, but with visitors or friends, he typically wears a stylised outfit consisting of a cloak and baggy pants. His reasoning being that he looks unusual enough anyway to get away with equally unusual clothing. He generally finds more constricting clothing uncomfortable against his fur.

Human Height: 5'5" Body Type: Ectomorph (Slightly skinny) Complexion: Slightly pale east asian Hair Colour: Black Hair Style: Short, messy, tufty Eye Colour:Woody green Description A Fairly ordinary-looking teen, in his human form Tetsuji comes across as run-of-the-mill and fairly generic. A very casual individual in terms of presentation, he often lets his hair rest in the same position it is in when he wakes up and typically wears simple clothing. Clothing In private, he tends not to wear footwear, but in public wears simple shoes, depending on the venue. He typically prefers white short-sleeved shirts on his upper body, usually with dishevelled collars and with the top couple of buttons left undone for comfort. Regardless of whether at school or out and about, he favours polyester trousers.

Beast Height: 6'4" Body Type: Mesomorph (Highly Muscular) Complexion: Deep red Hair Colour: Black Skin Markings: Black Eye Colour: Fully Black Description Tetsuji's Beast form is closer to human than to his True form. It has a devil-like appearance with its red skin and horns, long knife-like pointed ears flanking a face adorned with black markings. Patches of fur-like hair grow upon his chest, groin and the tip of his tail; but his body is otherwise hairless (aside from the top of his head), unlike his more naturally-appearing human form. Aside from his feet resembling more muscular, less dainty versions of his Hybrid form, the rest of his body is more-or-less human in shape. His fingernails have distinct points to them, making them deadly weapons. Clothing Changing into this form whilst clothed typically damages most of the clothing, particularly that worn on the upper body, which is usually shredded by the muscle growth. Unclothed, Tetsuji will seek to find lower-body wear before heading out into the open if at all possible on account of the human-like anatomy.

Tetsuji is generally a hard worker, usually enjoying quiet time to learn or study things. For entertainment, he can often find enjoyment in things others might see as childish or mundane. He has a particular fascination with children's toys despite his age and can often be seen fidgeting with small dolls or plush toys. He loves to play games and will often dive head-first into them before they're even explained to him properly. Generally, he does not initiate games himself, but almost always accepts offers from others, provided he is not fully aware of consequences that he is not partial to.

In most of his physical forms, Tetsuji's personality remains the same. it is only his beast form when he seemingly changes. Though still the same conscious mind and personality, his rage takes over, vastly altering his priorities and emotional balance. Tetsuji is generally very shy about revealing his true nature to others, going to great lengths to try to hide it - and for good reason. Amongst humans, he is seen as normal. Should he revert to another form, however, not only would he be seen as a freak, but also reveal a nature that most people are not aware existed.

Tetsuji has an aversion to too much attention, particularly negative kind or the kind that might cause overstimulation. Not just against himself, but others too. He is almost always willing to help someone else in distress, and often tries to do so even if there is no real way for him to be successful. In general, however, he typically puts his own well-being and comfort first and will not help another if it explicitly puts him in danger unless he feels capable of standing up to said danger. The biggest draw toward helping people tends to come from the entertainment value of it.

Polite and friendly enough, Tetsuji is a fairly likeable individual, if only because he keeps his negative opinions to himself. He certainly at the least comes across as inoffensive. However, he is not particularly assertive in his friendliness and seeking out new relationships.


Tetsuji does not know the full extent of his background, only that he was adopted from a young age by parents with a strong interest in the occult. His adoptive parents have been very secretive with regards to his upbringing and have gone to great lengths to hide his true nature whilst simultaneously trying to ensure that he has a normal childhood.

Originally growing up in the country near to a secluded Shintō temple where he was able to obtain an education without having to disguise as human, Tetsuji both learned the basics of academia and how to control his powers. Once his parents were satisfied that he was capable of living amongst humans, he moved to the city to take on a more contemporary education. This also allowed his parents to focus on teaching him their own occult beliefs without having to contest them with Shintō practices.

Tetsuji in general has good grades without being hugely stand-out in intelligence. Academically, he is fairly average, but makes up for it in diligence and focus.


Tetsuji is not quite sure what he is. According to his parents, they at first thought he was some kind of strange animal. His 'True' form having not physically changed since the day he was found, he was originally brought up as a pet. But as his mind developed from an infantile level of understanding to that of a small child, his parents soon realised that he was of more human levels of intelligence and began treating him as such. Though Tetsuji does not remember the time he was kept as an animal, it has affected his personality to a degree. In his True form, he often prefers more animalistic things such as spending time outdoors, sleeping in the open and relying solely on his fur for modesty. He feels uncomfortable doing this in his Human form, however, and strikes a balance with his Hybrid form. His childishly playful nature also is owing in a big part to his original upbringing; and he has an odd fondness for playing fetch...

Tetsuji has some sort of connection to the occult, particularly where it aligns with astrology and the zodiac. This much is clear in the way his powers and abilities change based on which zodiac is currently presently occurring on the calendar. Starlight also has a positive impact upon him, not just magically, but also in the sense of his state of mind and general comfort.


The shapeshifting ability that Tetsuji is capable of was not one he was able to utilise right away. It was the first ability for him to identify, however, and was strongly encouraged by his parents as a way to allow him to live outside of isolation. Tetsuji's shapeshifting is still somewhat imperfect - he is unable to take Human form unless under the influence of certain medicinal drugs and is prone to relapses into a more comfortable form under high stress, high emotion or when the drugs are wearing off. Without medicinal aid, he is only capable of willingly transforming between his True form and his Hybrid form.

Tetsuji cannot take his Beast form at will, nor is it something that can be reliably coaxed out of him. It requires a rage state to induce and even then, it is not guaranteed. As of yet, there have been no medicinal aids toward obtaining this form; though because of its nature, minimal effort has been put in to find any.





Tetsuji can be altered to fit other settings if necessary. His backstory is the most flexible part of his profile and thus can be completely reimagined for other settings should it prove entirely inappropriate.


One or more of Tetsuji's forms (or even the ability to shapeshift altogether) can be ignored if they are not prudent to an RP setting. In particular, a fantasy setting where non-humans are common would mean that his human form is obsolete and therefore will not be used. Alternatively, a 100% realistic scenario means that his shapeshifting ability is not present (though it is rare that he would be used for such things due to it being fairly boring a premise).


Particularly in settings with storylines involving power ability growth, Tetsuji is unlikely to start an RP with all of his powers. His powers will likely be limited to a handful of zodiacs and it is likely he will gain new ones as the starsigns come into alignment, eventually leading to his full selection. His starting abilities (and other affects) will always include those of Ophiuchus and Cetus. Beyond that, he is also likely to start with either the starsign currently in alignment or Sagittarius, Scorpio or both.
