  Long Lifespan
  Dragons have a lifespan far exceeding that of humans, outmatching them even by thousands of years. Dragons meeting the far stretches are however rare, the species hard to find in general and dragon hunting being a popular past time.
  
  Proud Creatures
  Very proud of themselves, they hold their kind to a higher regard and look down on non-magical beings very often. For a dragon not to keep their word is heavily frowned upon and the perpetrator may be punished by another dragon if they get word of it. It is not unusual to find very haughty individuals that love any mention of their glory.
  
  Triple Forms
  A secret among those outside their kind, Elder Dragons and those related have the ability to transform into two additional forms. These additional forms are humanoid, one retaining the features of a dragon while the other is completely human. This was established eons ago to help them better communicate with those outside their species and for situations large size would be disadvantageous.
  
  Elder Dragons
  The most ancient of the dragons, they make up a council that help to lead their kind in times of need. Most respected and often viewed as the most powerful and wisest, their word is viewed as law and to go against it will cause other dragons to turn on the offender. When in times of peace they remain scattered and have little contact with one another.
  
  Fire Magic
  Skilled at using the magic of flame, to find one unable to use it may be as hard as finding an Elder. This is one of their main defense mechanisms aside from their size and sharp claws/fangs. so dragons rarely inhabit areas that will harm their ability to use it. Those with three forms cannot use it in their completely human form, only their half and full form.
  
  Chaos and Nature
  Dragons are born close to nature, one of the many extensions of its magical side. When not hungry or in the mood to hunt animals are attracted to or will ignore them, making it not so unusual to see one surrounded by life when resting. Some will even become guardians of chosen lands, fighting off those that seek to mess with the balance. On the other side are chaotic dragons, ones who have lost themselves to fury and bloodshed. They are the ones often heard of in legends of dragons attacking kingdoms, and are just dangerous for everyone and everything involved. No dragon is born chaotic, except for extremely rare cases when two chaos dragons mate, and then it is low probability.
  
  Life Mates
  To some's surprise, dragons are very loyal creatures and only have one permanent romantic partner. They may date a little beforehand to test waters, but once they are certain of their mate they undergo an undoable process. With the other's permission a tie is formed between the two, and a mark is burned onto both of them that cannot be healed. Any sentient creature can be a life mate, but they cannot choose another if their chosen has a shorter lifespan.
  
  Emotion Loss
  As dragons age they can undergo changes unordinary for other species. As an unfortunate side effect of their wisdom and ancient life, some begin to lose their emotions and banish the outside world. This could be due to them coming to think they are truly above all and that no one is worthy or that the world has changed too much for their time.
  
  Solitary
  Despite thinking highly of their kind, most dragons prefer to be solitary from others of their species. Meetings may still occur, especially relating to the Elders, but it is rare to find a dragon living with another that is not their mate. When forced in close proximity, fights can even break out between two or more dragons, their powerful personalities unable to handle those of another for long periods. Oddly they can still be helpful to each other as long as they do not have to endure companionship for long.
  
  Diet
  Excluding those with multiple forms, dragons are strictly carnivorous and cannot handle the diet of a herbivore or omnivore. Trying to force one can cause them to become very sick and perhaps even grow weak in magic until given meat. Seafood is acceptable for those who live near water. For those with other forms, they have the ability to go omnivorous in half form and herbivorous in human, but meat is often still greatly preferred.
  
  Allies (Medieval)
  At certain times dragons have been known to come out of hiding in rural areas and ally with humans or other creatures, fighting alongside them for mutual gain. This is disliked for most of them, but the more friendly or those in need of something will do so. The last known dragon to align was Riranna, who worked with a human kingdom to try and keep peace.
