Kichirou Kawa

Born of snake’s blood and from the womb of a witch, Kichirou was brought into this world bloody and alone. With his mother dead from childbirth and the markings of a snake upon his face, Kichirou was undesired and avoided. He was a child who seemed as if he’d bring bad luck upon his town, and whether this rang true or not, it did not matter. Slitted cheeks and fangs didn’t instill hope into his neighbors.

He was four when Ahna rescued him, with his too big clothes and shaggy hair. The church (who graciously accepted Kichirou, as they put it) could barely could care for the regular children under their watch, much less an undesirable. They had left in the middle of the night, he doesn’t remember much, with Ahna furious and holding him upon horseback.

For a few years, the duo spent their time as nomads, travelling about and staying where they could. A masked widow and a demon child weren’t ideal neighbors, so they never stayed long. It wasn’t until they found home in a temple deep within the fogged mountains did they rest, knowing the people there were different than your regular townie. This temple, a place devoted to training both the mind and body, is where Kichirou spent most of his years. It was here where him and Ahna trained, where they got a true grip on their other worldly blessings (curses, if you asked Ahna), and it was here where they got into a professional line of “work”.

The work they did varied, the temple got an array of jobs for those who looked to make some wage whilst training, but both found themselves excelling in the.. messier jobs. The jobs that ranged from bending the law to breaking it, and as they accepted more listings, the better they got at their schemes. It was when they had taken on a particularly stressing job that challenged them both and the bond they held did they realize it was time to move from the temple and begin again in the world. They weren’t planning on stopping their trade, it gave them both the outlet they needed, but the temple had simply served its purpose and if they wished to continue growing, they had to move to a different spot in the sun. When they finally packed their bags and began off from the temple, Kichirou was just shy of fifteen.

Similar to their first years together, the pair traveled about, visiting old acquaintances and even older enemies, burning and building bridges as they pleased, until they found a home in a riverside town. The fog was thick, much unlike the temple’s gentle mist, and their home wasn’t the most flattering piece of work, but it was about time they began to build their home, and to them, there was no better place to start than the small fish port they had found themselves in.

Kichirou was born on the fall Equinox, making him a Libra sun. He stands at 5'3 and weighs in at 115 pounds, most of which is lean muscle. He was also born in the year of rabbit. Ahna finds this humorous and she's noted to him in the past that rabbits are prey to especially powerful snakes.

His preferences lie in men, especially those of more mature standing. Whether this is due to the lack of a father figure, his enjoyment of authoritative security, or simply a fluke preference, he cannot be sure.
