• Biography

  Lucian SaDiablo, a pure-bred werewolf. He was born and raised in the ancient city of Athens, not as any sort of royalty or merchant family, but as a soldier, a pit fighter, and finally, a wanderer who protected the humans from the supernatural threats that plagued their mundane world. As many of you may remember, the first lycanthrope was a king named Lycaon, who served the Gods of Olympus the flesh of his own son as a test. For that act of cruelty and barbarism, he was made to wander the land as half-wolf creature with the intelligence of a man and the cruelty and cunning of a beast. It is from this curse that most lycanthropes now exist. Lucian, though, was not born of Lycaon's curse, but, rather born to two lycanthrope parents, both bitten by rogue wolves in the wilds of the Grecian countryside. From this union came a boy who, though lycanthrope in flesh and blood, was not tied to the pull of the moon and so had the ability to transform at will and later, through decades of training, control this power into a specific limb or sense.
  
  For several hundred years the boy hunted with his parents, both in human and wolf form, sometimes even in a half-beast form reminiscent of the cursed king. Though he was taught the soldier's code of honour and learned how to read, write, and do sums by a retired Athenian teacher, he had the mind of an adult male but the body of a pubescent youth (the lifespan of a werewolf greatly lessens the normal aging processes of humans). When he reached 500th year, his parents were long-dead, hunted down by Dionysus' Maenads, the women driven to mad ecstasy by the wine of Dionysus. Though he knew better than to seek revenge against the followers of a god, he went before the goddesses of the moon (Selene), hunting (Artemis), and love (Aphrodite), to plead his case. Though the three goddesses sympathized with his plight, they could not help him against their brother. With their verdict ringing in his ears, he gathered his few belongings and set off on the road to the place soon to be called Rome by the fleeing Trojans. 100 years later, he arrived in the city, but he was not the free man of the wilds from his youth. Now, he was a Roman Gladiator, and he was close to gaining his freedom. several more years of hard fighting followed and he eventually gained his freedom, not only gaining back his rights as a man, but also gaining entrance into the army, fighting for the fourth, fifth and sixth Caesar's of the time before the fighting began to make him unruly, causing him to quickly flee from Rome and heading south, to Egypt. He then headed west through the northern edge of Africa before living for several years in Morocco. When he'd reached his first millennium, he traveled back north, crossing through Spain all the way to Germany, then from there all the way to Romania and Transylvania, routing out the supernatural beasts that plagued the innocent human villages. He then entered Russia and met a society of hunters of various races; from humans, werewolves both cursed and born like him, vampires, dhampirs (Half-vampire born from human mothers bitten by a recently awakened vampire), to other shapeshifters and demons, even demigods from various cultures. He stayed with the society for 300 years, but ended up wandering again in the 16th century, where he then made his way to the Americas after wandering Asia for a number of years and lived in the newly emerging colonies along the northwestern coastline.
