• Biography

  Trisk was the child of pirates, raised in Luskan. A few years before his birth, his parents had successfully looted a large cache of gold, jewels, charms and documents from the island of Trisk, a part of the Purple Rocks in the Trackless Sea. Born in a brief moment of prosperity, he was named after the island.
  
  His early life was lived modestly, and his parents would often leave for months while they were at sea looking for treasure. During one such absence, Trisk stole one of the charms that had not yet been sold. When his parents returned, they had found another, smaller cache and didn't notice the missing charm.
  
  Eventually, his parents' trips started to become longer and one day, they didn't come back. He could no longer rely on his parents for survival, and had to start to work the streets on his own. He lacked the tall stature and battle prowess that is considered a mark of his Illuskan heritage, and had to rely on his wits and charisma to get by.
  
  Over time, he learned how to use his telepathy to trick the cowardly and the superstitious into revealing crucial secrets. It didn't take long for him to realize that his powers had come from the charm. He curses himself daily that he only stole one when he had the chance.
  
  Eventually, he learned how to mold his eldritch abilities and use them for combat. However, this came at price. Horrific nightmares and a newfound lust for power engulfed his mind. The nightmares would include visions of past traumas and the sightings of other artifacts similar to the charm. In his mind, he knew finding them would ease his suffering.
  
  In order to satiate his desires, he used his connections to try and locate similar artifacts. After receiving a number of reports of the appearance of such artifacts, he set across Faerun to find them. However, each time the report was either false, or too late.
  
  Finally, he has reached Waterdeep, his last and most vague report. The nightmares are getting worse and he needs a new artifact to satiate them.
