Castle Chaythe

Castle Chaythe is embedded into the mountain side and made entirely out of metal. Sharp points and unique designs. Inside the castle is unbelievable. The designs and metal work are closer related to the Renaissance period but hold elements of their own. There are unique paintings, statues, and almost everything is made out of either precious stones, marble or pearl. There are also unique and beautiful word work on most of the furniture. The only way to access the castle is over a large canyon carved over a series of decades by a shallow river. The bride itself is metal like the rest of the castle, with unique carvings and designs, and is over a mile long.

The castle houses the entire Vampire community, and is the size of a collage university campus. And laid out similarly. Containing its own farm lands, forest property, river front. The castle has its own, university, hospital, apartments and living quarters, restaurants, as well as a community dining call, kitchens, ball room, library, shops, community garages, gardens, stables and other such property. Everything is accessible by walking, elevators and by horse back.

The castle community is a mixture of original vampheric timelines as well as modern day. It just depends on the community member and their tastes or styles. As well as the age and time of the RP in which it is featured.

Castle Chaythe is originally from the movie Vampire Hunter D. Or that’s at least where I first saw it and got inspired from it. It was traditionally the home of one of the original Vampires. The blood countess Carmilla. The real Carmilla was actually Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed. A Hungarian countess who lived from August 1560 – 21 August 1614. She was a Hungarian noblewoman best known as a reputed serial killer from the noble family of Báthory, who owned land in the Kingdom of Hungary. She would often miss lead innocent women and have them brought to her castle, treated and spoiled well than murdered so she could bathe in their blood. She believed virgin blood from beautiful women would than make her beautiful and young forever. Her likeness has been used in several lores, movies, and tales. She even inspired a character for American horror story : covenant. But mostly she is used in the story of Vampires. And referred to as Carmilla. Or the blood countess. She is seen in almost every vampire story out there, usually having a direct relationship of sorts with Dracula.

This was also true for the anime movie Vampire Hunter D :Blood lust. Which is a great film if you haven’t seen it you should. What I loved about it was the castle itself. The look of it made me crazy. And so I use the castle quite often in many RP’s.

The castle is usually found in the story of Allimuire, also known as The Demon King. Having been passed down to him from his father Lord Maldarore. The castle was the first and original home of vampiers and their leader. Said to be summoned with the vampheric race from hell itself, when they first crossed the vale under Maldarore’s leadership into the human world. Once under Allimuire’s command the castle became a beacon of leadership for the City of Arcadia. Having been the focal point of the city’s success and survival during the Apocalypse, and the following worldwide collapse.

Though only vampires and their families may live at the castle. During the day visitor’s from Arcadia are welcome with proper screening and passes. The castle often offers tours, due to his historic nature, as well as shopping and trade centers. It also allows outsiders to access the properties to attend the university. Most police, military and militia are all trained at the castle. Along with a great deal of witch craft, as Castle Chaythe’s gardens house plans and herbs that are no longer existent anywhere else on the planet.

The castle itself can fit into any rp, or timeline, and is often used as a location point, weather featured or the main location of the RP itself. I just depends on the RP weather the castle will be around or not.
