・He was one of the first residents of the island and lives in an old Church up in Research District.
・He's lived his life believing he was Jamdeaf until his very late 50s, but it turned out he had a twin vibe he couldn't use until he adopted his first son with whom he shares his vibe.
・Most of the donations to his church go towards feeding and sheltering the needy, mostly going towards Squares, the Jamdeaf, and Roller Banditos. The last of which he's comedically popular with for this.
・He survived the war of 99' but seems to hold onto some anxieties towards that day, he carries on though and lives his life, but this makes politics a little nerveracking for him...
・He and his family immigrated to the island from Ireland, he arrived in STEP City when he was 10 or 11.
・He has no contact with the organization, but secretly holds onto a DOVE pin he keeps locked up with his things. He wants the island to know peace and prays for it everyday, while otherwise doing what he can to improve his community. He knows not to associate with an organization such as DOVE openly however, even if its just a myth. It's just nice to put his faith in something and dream a little dream for a while, even if its just to calm his heart from all thats going on as of late. Still though, you can't help but want to believe.
・After the Dance War, Alfred put three small wind turbines on the roof of his church once the repairs were done. They're pretty but also serve as a backup plan due to him worrying about the city losing power again like back then.
These helped him significantly during the Solar Flare's initial chaos and the ensuing blackouts!
・Alfred has a surprisingly large collection of books from back when he was a kid and first moved to the island. They remind him of home, while also being a good offline source of information about the outside world he hopes can help people out one day. He's been putting thought into letting someone more knowledgeable with computer digitize them for others to use.
・He prefers to hide he developed a vibe due to concern for him and his son's privacy, but sometimes its a little obvious that he's got something going on. Due to his old age he probably worries people will try recruiting them.
・If you're injured and it's nothing serious, and for whatever reason you cant use a vendie, he'll give you first aid no questions asked. No one knows where he gets his medical supplies from though... not even him actually! If you ask him about it, he says it just shows up in the mail from a mysterious "Doctor Handsome", but that's all he knows. Theres no way to contact him, and nobody knows who he is. It's been going on for such a long time now that he's started joking that he's half-convinced "Doctor Handsome" is actually an angel.

Alfred's very fond of ballroom dancing, classical music, and appreciates a good piano!
A favourite dance of his however is a nice simple waltz, it's near and dear to his heart since that's how he learned how to dance, and how he eventually taught his son.
When not dancing he knows piano and likes to play from time to time outside of mass in the main sanctuary.

Alfred's vibe is an unusual one in the fact that he's not the only one who has it, it's a twin vibe he discovered by dancing with his son Ginger a while back.
Before then. he had lived his life believing he was Jamdeaf until he was 59, where much to his surprise, he discovered he had a vibe only he and his adopted son could use, and that they both had the same abilities-- he had a twin vibe but couldn't use it until much later in his life because his "twin" hadn't even been born yet.
The main features of their vibe is that if they focus on their hands, they can see a red string tied around their pinky fingers, and no matter what this string never tangles and never breaks, seemingly to fazing through walls connecting them to each other no matter the obstacles.
Due to this, they can never lose one another, if Ginger doesn't know where his father is he can just follow the string and find him, and vice versa.
The other main ability is that they can sense when the other is in danger, their emotions travelling through the string to the other one, who senses the trouble and can go to help. This ties into one last main function, which is that they can communicate with each other over long distances. All they have to do is make a fist with their pinky out, and speak into it as if they were two kids talking through two cans on a string.
Once one of them talks into their fist, the other one will hear what the other said, as if it were a little whisper on the edge of their minds.
Something they didn't know until much later however, was their vibe can extend to other people they care about. If him or his son care about you, they can offer you a dance, and once you've danced with them you've been marked.
Now you too can see the string connecting the two of your together, leading to whichever one of the two marked you.
You can't mark people yourself, and can only communicate with the one who marked you. Otherwise you can now benefit from the two main uses for this vibe, talking to Alfred or Ginger over long distances, or finding your way back to them no matter where they're at.
This is interesting in the fact that, in a way they can give you a vibe and their vibe can spread, they just need to trust and care for you otherwise it wont work.
A hard limit to this though is they can only mark 10 people each, 5 per each hand, 1 for each finger, so you need to choose your team and keep an open ear!

At Saint Mary's Catholic Church of STEP City, Father McElroy offers multiple services to anyone who may need them, you just have to come and ask and he'll do his best to provide something that will suit your needs. Anybody and everybody is welcome here, regardless of faction, race, creed, religion, sexuality, or any other matter. God loves all his children, and Alfred intends to treat them all fairly and equally, while otherwise doing his best to look out for the community.

Services Provided

・Free shelter for the homeless, or endangered. There are clean beds in one of the wings of the church, and sign-in is anonymous. Nobody will know that you were here, and Alfred will say he doesn't know anybody by your name in the interest of protecting your safety for the night.
・Administration of basic first aid. If you're heavily injured you belong in a vendie, but if you need help with a small wound or can't reach one for whatever reason while lightly injured, he'll patch you up good as new until you can get to a vendie to ensure you're still okay.
・Sewing. He has kids, anybody with children knows how easily things can be torn up, his mother taught him this so if you need a patch in your clothing he'll do his best to provide, but he doesn't think he can ever do as well as his mother Alannah did for him when he was a boy.
・Food and Clean Water. Church donations, along with going towards upkeep for the shelter service, also go towards procuring food to hand out to the homeless or impoverished. Nobody deserves to starve or go without drinking water.
Alfred will say as the bible says, "I will give freely the water of the fountain of life freely to anyone who thirsts."
・Sunday Mass. This is only for those who're interested, you don't need to be Catholic to get help from the other services here, if you're religious and would like to come to service you'll be more than welcome to join, otherwise though you won't be pressured. It's 10:00am every Sundays, and hymns make up most of the service, sometimes the entire service depending on how eager the congregation is! It's a little hard to stop sometimes so he just lets them go.
