Keiko Shinawara

Keiko was born a fairly well to do child in her home country of Japan. When her mutation first sprung up, her family opted to move her closer to her maternal uncle in the American city of Darien. It was there that she became wrapped up in her life with her class mates, choosing to join a sect of local mutants as the X-Scouts. She was an accomplished and promising gymnast with hopes of competing for Japan.

It was there that Keikos entire world became turned on its head at the age of 15. By the time she was 17, she'd been nearly assassinated twice, had her entire psyche scrambled due to the Catalyst caused by Evkas mutation triggering, and not soon after found herself and several others kidnapped on a Skrull ship forced to participate in a violent contest.

It is at this point that her timeline diverges.

While in her timeline, Keiko was left behind on the Skrull ship for nine long months, subjected to various experiments, and losing her leg. Hrodrich had stayed behind to gather any stragglers. This is in turn lead to Keikos rescue...and the years that followed with a prosthetic created by him, and the issues left behind. She was not fit mentally to teach students but she tried, and as the deaths of her friends continued on, she came to realize that she needed to preform something drastic in order to gain her life back.

One by one, her friends, her lovers and her family all began dying off due to the existence of them being mutants, or attempting to just protect others. The deaths of Evka, Alan, Iris and Eden struck her the hardest. She later on learned that while she was trapped aboard the Skrull ship, a sleeper agent had impersonated her so flawlessly, it had even begun a long term relationship with one of her closest friends.

The collapsing of their dimensions began, and it was then Keiko knew it was time to act. Keiko doesn't speak of how she gained access to her current timeline, though she was able to erase the damage done to not only herself, but gain both of her limbs back in the process. She was able to be saved from the Skrull ship, went on to get the help she desperately needed--she still lost people but she refused to stop.

She went on to take over her Uncles "business" in dealing with the Yakuza after having him removed from his position of power. Her mutation is now in check, and before taking over the empire, she went on to fufill not only her own childhood dream, but the late Edens and she went on to compete once in the Olympics before retiring.
