Illusion Disguise Self - One of the first spells he learned as a child, and one that he can cast almost subconsciously having spent literal years of his life maintaining the spell. He's capable of altering most of the details of his appearance so long as he appears as a humanoid of roughly his own height. While reflexively it's only a visual illusion he can adjust reactions to the other senses while concentrating, to adjust the pitch of his voice, create scents or even fool the sense of touch, though the later is far more complex and requires the greatest amount of concentration and still doesn't actually change the shape of his body, just a person's reaction to it. For example, if he made his arm seem a foot longer, he could make someone 'feel' they were gripping the illusory hand that he's created, but that hand would still be incapable of actually moving or lifting objects. Dream Walk - Eve can enter and manipulate others dreams. For it to work he either needs to have physical contact with the person, or have an object of theirs or other connection while he's aware they're asleep. Controlling another person's dreams is a battle of wills, and a particularly strong willed individual can override his attempts to control it and eject him, or potentially hold him within their mind for the duration of the dream. However if one willingly gives control over to him his ability to shape a dreamscape is practically limitless in regards to manipulating space and time. He can attempt to delve into a person's subconscious and review a person's memories or secrets during a dream, however the nature of dream logic often makes such work more metaphorical than obvious. He can attempt to also incept ideas into a person's mind, or simply cause them psychic harm by subjecting them to terrifying nightmares. He can choose to let an individual remember the specifics of the entire dream or leave them with only vague impressions of what happened, though strong willed individuals can resist that. |
Biological Manipulation Alter Senses - Eve can manipulate his and others senses, though people can attempt to resist this. Each sense has to be adjusted independently, and the more he attempts to effect at once the more tiring it is. When worked on others this usually manifests as either heightening, dampening, or drugging. Notably, for many individuals the drugging effects can also be addicting and he has frequently made money off producing potions that provide various sense drugging effects. Having well practiced this spell on himself continuously, he is capable of working specific effects for his own senses that are generally unavailable to others. Sight - Everyone: Dampening can blur vision, and at extremes impart blindness. Heightening allows an individual through shifting focus to move from microscopic to telescopic sight which can admittedly be disorienting for those unused to it. Drugging makes everything more vibrant and colorful, and can make even the mundane world a visual treat to indulge in. Self: Eve can allow his own vision to shift to night vision and see in near complete darkness. Scent - Everyone: Dampening closes off the scent which can allow one to interact with things like noxious fumes, but doesn't actually protect from their negative effects. Heightening allows one scents approaching those of a tracking animal, and with practice they can learn to identify scents belonging to specific individuals or objects in order to locate and track them. Drugging is an overwhelming experience, though can make someone particularly susceptible to pheromones. Self: Eve can identify the value of objects by sniffing them. He can also find valuable treasures that may be obscured by following their scent. Touch - Everyone: Dampening can make one numb to contact and pain, which can be dangerous in every day life but beneficial if needing to get past dangerous situations. Heightening is a generally unpleasant experience and makes many even mild contacts painful, while actual violence is only amplified further. Drugging enhances the pleasurable feeling of contact, and can greatly enhance the feel of sexual activity. Self: Eve can extend his sense of touch beyond the extents of his body to feel through other objects he's connected to, this allows him within a certain radius to sense movement through objects in the floor, and to do things like feel the objects inside of a vault by touching it. He can also use this to feel inside of someone's body for internal injuries. Taste - Everyone: Dampening makes everything bland, good for getting through your grandma's poor cooking. Heightened allows discernment and actually often makes things taste a little worse, but does allow with practice learning and identifying specific ingredients in anything that is tasted. Drugging greatly enhances the flavor of anything eaten or licked, but can bring especially potent flavors to new blissful levels. Self: Eve can taste bloodlust to an extent, which allows him to anticipate harm that is directed towards him and provides him some limited ability to avoid it. Hearing - Everyone: Dampening mutes and potentially defeans an individual. Heightening allows for one to hear distant or very quiet sounds, but can make loud noises ear splittingly painful to endure. Drugging creates a rich tapestry of even the regular mundane world, and can make music nearly melt someone in pleasure. Self: Eve can hear magic, with practice he's learned to discern different types of magical effects by the pitch they create, and often hears intentional spell work as melodic. Balance - Everyone: Dampening balance can make individuals have trouble standing or moving, causing them to fall over and collapse. Heightening balance can allow someone to perform spectacular feats like steadying on tight ropes or the tops of posts. Drugging literally makes someone tipsy, and can make one feel the flow of things like dance to be particularly pleasurable. Self: Eve can adjust the balance of his humors to dampen or excite particular emotions. He can do that to maintain focus in stressful situations or help sell a disguise by putting genuine emotional responses to things he'd otherwise have to fake. Accelerated Healing - Eve is capable of altering his and others bodies to speed the natural healing process. This allows him to quickly fix wounds that someone could recover from without other medical treatment, including fixing cuts, mending broken bones, or expelling minor illnesses or poisons that wouldn't be fatal. He cannot heal permanent injuries like lost limbs or severely damaged organs. This draws on the natural reserves of the body being healed though, and is frequently very tiring and exhausting and can require them to rest or consume nutrients to make up for deficits used in the healing process. |
Fire Hell/Draconic Fire Conjuration - Control of fire is so inherent that it is less a specific spell for him than a natural state of his being. Fires created by Eve are a combination of hell and draconic fire in a somewhat difficult to control nature as they both feed from different sides of his bloodline. The blended nature of his fire burns supernaturally hot and can be incredibly volatile and difficult for even him to apply fine control to making it unsuitable for subtle work. And as the fire is birthed from his very soul he feels a special connection to his own flame that makes it particularly unpleasant to use in violent situations. As it's little useful for else he usually declines making fires of his own at all in public, venting out the need to do so in private when he's worked up. If necessary though, he can assure that anyone foolish enough to demand the limits of him will burn. Fire Manipulation - His strong attunement to fire allows him to control flames both natural and unnaturally occurring. He can perform simple feats like strengthening and dousing fires at a distance, but he can also levitate flames and reshape them to create simple images like dancing figures or letters. He can make these manipulated flames semi-persistent depending on the effort he puts into them, but most fires will eventually burn out or exert their own chaotic nature. |
