Praeses' Character List

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by. I know you're probably here for the characters but before you play with me, please take a moment to review my preferences and limits, depending on what you're interested in it might save us both some time and energy.

Romance - No thanks. I'm ok with characters flirting or making suggestive jokes and a romantic relationship between characters may develop over time, but if romance is your primary goal we'll probably both be happier if you look elsewhere.

Sexual themes/scenes - I'm not interested in writing sex nor having it feature in a roleplay. It's fine to mention it in passing, make suggestive jokes or have characters flirt but in the unlikely event there's anything past light petting it will be fade to black.

Pre-determined Relationships - I prefer for relationships to form naturally. Please do not assume any relationships between my characters and yours, even if they are typically canon. I am happy to discuss if our characters are likely to get along when setting up the RP but that's not the same as ensuring the outcome. I'm open to having some types of relationships established before the game but they've got to be discussed on a case by case basis and will never be romantic in nature.

Violence - Descriptions of violence and injury are fine as long as they aren't overly gratuitous. That is, it should serve to inform the character, scene, or narrative; not appear to be an end in and of itself.

Player Character Conflict - Verbal character conflict is generally ok with some heads up. Some days I just won't be feeling it and may have to take a rain check. Physical conflict between mains requires discussion before it starts so that everyone involved can set limits/expectations in advance.

NPCs - Ask before taking control of side characters I introduce; this includes any animals and inanimate objects/set pieces with 'personality'. I'll do the same for you unless you state permission before hand.

Character Death - Not for my characters unless it directly relates to the game's premise somehow. If you want to kill off anyone else, including your mains, that's entirely up to you but I'd like some heads up to discuss how it's going to be done as it relates to my characters if it's 'onscreen'; that includes 'preventable' NPC death.

Language - Swearing/coarse language is fine. No slurs or hate speech, even for villains.

OOC contact - If it's been a week since the day you were expecting a post and you haven't heard from me send me a reminder; something probably came up. If you want to talk to me about our RP, please do. Planning, clarification, permissions (especially to assume actions), tweaks, things you enjoy or bother you about the scene, etc. let me know. I can't fix things I don't know about and when it comes to special requests (that respect the info above) I'm open to a lot of things if people ask rather than trying to spring/force it on me. However, I'm less likely to be very talkative when it comes to unrelated topics unless some of our other interests align. Conversation can be good but please don't expect me to be your sole source of entertainment.
