Simon Bo

Simon Bo was born into a wealthy family in China.

His father was a ruthless business tycoon with little time for, what he considered, his mentally deficient son.

But, thankfully Simon's mother was of the tender sort and nurtured her son; even recognizing the genius beneath the taciturn and socially withdrawn child.

At the age of 8, Simon's mother died; and his preoccupied father assigned his care to tutors and eventually shipped him away to boarding school while he started over with a new wife and two step children.

In spite of, and maybe even because of, his early isolation; Simon's mind developed in its own unique way with little in the way of outside influences. Indeed he was brilliant. His social inadequacies were more than made up for by an intellect to challenge the greats.

Little is known about why that intellect took the turn that it did - developing an interest in the criminal mind. But eventually Simon left china to enroll in The University of Maryland where he devoted the majority of his time studying the darkest corners of the human psyche.

By the time he was half-way through the program to become a Criminal Analyst, Simon had already begun to make a name for himself; acting as a consultant for the FBI and various other crime fighting organizations.

By the time he left college he had a professor-ship title under his belt and was swiftly becoming known as one of the top analysts in the world.

He soared high and flew fast, with little time for friends. (Besides Kris who stubbornly appointed himself as such whether Simon liked it or not)

While working a high profile case involving a killer known as The Flower Cannibal however, Simon caught the attention of a figure lurking in the shadows. Not The Flower Cannibal himself, but rather a mutant who twisted minds and souls and had turned The Flower Cannibal into a killer in the first place.

Simon was kidnapped, and for six months he underwent tortures of both the physical and mental variety. Eventually he was freed, but with a dark shadow lurking in a corner of his mind. A presence, that when released, would rage and curse and try to hurt anyone and anything within reach - including Simon himself.

With time, a great deal of struggle and hardship, and the help of more friends (Some self appointed, and some seemingly appointed by the very universe itself) Simon eventually managed to come to terms with his new head mate. But many challenges remain for the formerly very private and reclusive detective.
