From a young age, Kalopsia proved to be a very attentive and driven student. She was always on top of her homework and projects, devoting certain hours of the day to make sure she completed everything on time. While she was not an ‘exceptionally gifted’ student who got perfect grades in every class, there were areas she excelled in and showed great promise. It was one of the teachers of said subjects that helped her figure out she wanted to pursue a career in health and beauty, as well as helping Kalopsia figure out what she was going to have to do in order to achieve this goal.

Following the traumatic events that transpired on her 19th birthday, Kalopsia started writing a blog about her recovery process, as well as what it is like living with PTSD. At first, she only started writing the blog because her therapist suggested it might help her come to terms with what happened by getting her feelings out into a written format. Kalopsia chose to do a blog.

However, when she received messages from other trauma survivors saying her blog gave them support and hope, she decided she was going to keep writing it for them.
