Of a middling height, at least against the backdrop of a city of mythical creatures, the man is at once regal and downtrodden, a ramrod posture kept for work, but a stooping of the shoulders and a tired expression that hints at a general malaise towards his job. Anthropomorphic features of a kingly lion, with just enough human traits to leave him expressive; his fur is a deep russet, greying around his muzzle and whiskers, and extra shades around his hollow eyes. A mane of deep black is further streaked with silver, nothing to hide his age, but well-kept enough that the fluff of it partially obscures his circular, cattish ears.

Wearing full armour, under a long heavy coat, a hand almost always on his hilt, digitigrade legs requiring adapted cuisse and greaves. The long tail of dangerous spines pokes out from under his tasset, putting to rest any thought that this was merely a lion.
