Thomme Acelin

Thomme was found as a child on the outskirts of a village, already half dead. His home had been destroyed by a group of mauraders, who pillaged the settlement before burning it to the ground. He spent the next few years of his life barely managing to scrape by. He’d take on any jobs he could find, risking his life for little more than a loaf of bread. Eventually he managed to make a pseudo-living by collecting leeches in a nearby swamp, and would have likely died from blood loss within the year if he’d continued. However, he stumbled upon something unusual one day when he was out working. Some manner of creature had been through the area recently, leaving a wide rut as if it had dragged itself through the area. Upon closer inspection, Thomme found a massive serpent bleeding to death, a gash in it’s side as if it had angered a bundle of stalactites. Instead of running away or doing anything a normal person would do, Thomme approached. He knew some rudimentary medicine from experimentation, mainly on himself, and was able to patch the creature up. In return it granted him one of it’s scales and a strange power, allowing him to-
