While Jasper might not use his abilities often compared to others, especially with the level of strength he can conjure with it, he is incredibly strong. His powers are limited due to the very nature of them, but with his control of them, they can turn scary rather quickly. His abilities reflect back on him as a person, the abilities and him being one in more ways, as if they have determined his person, but he doesn't mind. He can keep his head cool at all times, in more ways than one.

Jasper possesses the ability to manipulate ice. He can create, shape, and manipulate ice, water frozen into a solid state, which appears naturally in form of snow, slush, hail, icicles, ice spikes and candles, glaciers, pack ice, frost, and polar ice caps, and cold by reducing the kinetic energy of atoms and thus making things colder, for various effects and combinations. While the ability has certain limitations, since ice has very natural limitations related to temperature and its surroundings, it can be incredibly powerful used in the right way, even deadly.
Jasper's capabilities reaches far and wide ― he can burrow through ice or glide over it easily, he can manipulate the cold in the air and change the temperature accordingly, he can freeze objects making it fragile and breakable, living as well as dead, he can build using the ice or attack with it as he creates it from the moisture in the air around him, he can cause avalanches, he can absorb and remove ice, and he's immune to ice and the cold as well. He might be frostbitten if used excessively, but it has yet to happen, so it currently doesn't affect him in any way to possess this ability. He doesn't use his ability that often, mainly for his own benefit in his daily life: Removing ice off his car, not being affected by the cold, creating snow if he wants a bit of ambience, and he can ice skate at all times of the year. He knows that if he can create snow, he can create snow storms to, just like the small sculptures he can build can be turned into shards or artillery to harm others if necessary. He has never had any reason to apply his abilities in this way, though, and has no interest in harming others in any manner. If anything, he uses it to cheer up those around him if the situation allows him to do it safely, even if it's just to cool someone down. His hands and body are naturally cool, too, an effect of the abilities within him, something that almost always shock those around him.
