Lady Josephine Fitzroy-Merill

Josie is the oldest daughter of Knight Captain Castor Fitzroy and Baroness Eleonora Merill.
Through her mother, she has an older, maternal half-brother, born out of wedlock but adopted by Castor.

Her father is the son of illegitimate son of King Castor Hamund, whom he is named after. His father was named Baron Teaton by King Castor - a title which Castor has since inherited. When he passes away, Josie's younger brother, Alfred, will inherit the honorary title as well as the land belonging to the royal family.

Josie's childhood was more carefree than the one of other noble ladies of her age. She was allowed to play and garden, and started an aviary when she was gifted a white dove by her mother. It wasn't unusual to find her with dirt on her cheeks and scrapes on her knees - which has since left a little scar.

Despite the income from the family land, Josie's family also grew their own vegetables and raised livestock. This made more room in the economy for jewels, clothes and other thing necessary to attend court without embarrassment. As a result of this work, Josie never became very good at delicate needlework - though she can knit, crochet and mend alright.
