Gem Artificer

Artificer: "Masters of invention, artificers use ingenuity and magic to unlock extraordinary capabilities in objects. They see magic as a complex system waiting to be decoded and then harnessed in their spells and inventions. You can find everything you need to play one of these inventors in the next few sections."

Drys specializes not in spellcasting, but instead inventing magical conduits, machines rather, and enchanting objects. Often called an 'artificer', she is an inventive magical engineer, talented in creating machines powered by magic. However her true skill and passion lies in minerals and gems. She has an eye for seeing the clarity in jewels, and bringing out the best in them for use in channeling magic. Cutting and faceting raw material, she can optimize gems for magicians and wizards to use to channel their own magic. Or her own.

Lesser Abyssal Fiend

Fiend, or occasionally mistaken for a tiefling, she doesn't seem to have a preference in name. But her upbringing was an odd one, to say the least.

Born of two humans, cultists or adventures depending on the story, existing on the Abyssal plane. The more time one spends on the plane, the more demonic influence can twist their being. So an extraplanar child born on the plane is an entirely unique thing--arguably human in genetics, but irrefutably twisted by demon magics. Most obvious in the tiefling-like traits that come from neither mother nor father--technically.

Traits: Fur-covered lion's tail, digitigrade, clawed hind-legs, clawed fingers, extended canines to name the basics. Her traits are in flux, and can change depending on how often/recently she has shifted or phased. Most annoyingly: horns.

Influences: Drys has an affinity for the Abyssal plane, and for other demons and demonically aligned magic. It can influence her appearance; extended time on the Abyssal plane can cause more demon traits to appear, whereas extended time away from its influences can cause it to regress.

Shifting: From a fairly young age, she found she could take on a second, feral form; to be expanded upon. Although she can shift to this form at will, the shift back is not instantaneous and it usually has lasting effects on her 'humanoid' form that can be a pain to deal with. Most notably: horns. Those with a good eye will see where she's sawed off the remnants of the horns prior, but they're prone to sprouting back.

Plane Phasing: Drys can phase from the material plane to the Abyssal at will. Bringing someone with her is another matter entirely. Prolonged time spent on her 'second home' can alter her appearance.
