A Brilliant Mind

From a young age, Humphrey has had an entrepreneurial mindset, being one for more logical decisions rather than those on impulse. Growing up in a town just outside of New York City meant he often visited the city with his father. It didn't take long for him to fall in love the the towering skyscrapers and bustling streets. Even though he was comfortable uniformity, he always liked the chaos of the city, the unpredictability. In high school, he primarily focused on his studies, but following his father's insistence, he settled into a small friend group.

It wasn't until college when he moved into the city that he truly found his love for business, the numbers, the formality, everything about it made him feel complete. A fellow business major by the name of Antonio Khan quickly latched onto Humphrey, and the two became inseparable. They spent their college years theorizing a business idea that consisted of revolutionizing the lightbulb industry by the use of micro batteries rather than cords. It came to fruition once they graduated, spending a year or two working on hiring manufacturers. Once a good supply met a good demand, the business boomed.

It'd be wrong to say Humphrey didn't experience major stress in the years establishing the company, causing him to become distant to most people in his life. He resorted to the euphoric but fleet satisfaction of cigarettes to give him relief rather than burden any of his family and friends with his problems.
