    Cassie lived most of her childhood with her dad, Scott Lang. Although he tried his best to keep his superhero life secret, Cassie figured out that he is Ant-Man. Unbeknownst to him, she secretly experimented with his Pym Particle supplies on her own, using them on herself as well.

    Eventually her mom took sole custody of her, and Cassie grew more and more bitter toward her and her stepfather. As a police officer, he hates superheroes and tries to keep her apart from her dad.

    One night, she wanted to run away from home, but instead was able to join the Young Avengers.
