Barenschrei are descendants of the Familiar of the Blue Eyed Wyxe. The original wolf was a powerful brute of dark brown fur and lively, black eyes. As the stories go, the Blue Eyed Wyxe was the one to turn on her Coven and break the bond of Das Böse - resulting in her Familiar being granted the ability to turn back into a man. As such, Barenschrei were the first werewolves to be born as humans rather than centuries of wolves that slowly learned to become human again.

Much like their Ancestor, Barenschrei took to prowling the Dark Walds, their teeth vengeful of darkness and their eyes constantly scanning for Das Böse. Proud, boisterous, strong, large - they likened themselves to the very bears they feasted on. Many Barenschrei shun the practice of eating humans. They protect those that wander their woods from Das Böse but make no mistake: They can easily turn on their guests.

Barenschrei have a natural resistance to magic that is higher than that of the other five wolf packs. Despite their physical power, however, they can only shift between shapes once a day and require long periods of rest between each shifting. As a result, wolves of Barenschrei only ever shift in anticipation of a fight that requires the sheer power of their natural shape and remain as a human most of the time. They favor powerful weapons such as the hammer or the dual handed axe.
